राज्ञां ब्रह्मप्रसूतानां वंशस्त्रैकालिकोऽन्वयः । वंशानुचरितं तेषां वृत्तं वंशधराश्च ये ।। १२-७-१६ ।।

sanskrit

Dynasties are lines of kings originating with Lord Brahmā and extending continuously through past, present and future. The accounts of such dynasties, especially of their most prominent members, constitute the subject of dynastic history. ।। 12-7-16 ।।

english translation

राजवंश राजाओं की पंक्तियाँ हैं जिनकी उत्पत्ति भगवान ब्रह्मा से हुई और जो भूत, वर्तमान और भविष्य में लगातार फैलती रहीं। ऐसे राजवंशों, विशेष रूप से उनके सबसे प्रमुख सदस्यों के विवरण, राजवंशीय इतिहास का विषय बनते हैं। ।। १२-७-१६ ।।

नैमित्तिकः प्राकृतिको नित्य आत्यन्तिको लयः । संस्थेति कविभिः प्रोक्तश्चतुर्धास्य स्वभावतः ।। १२-७-१७ ।।

sanskrit

There are four types of cosmic annihilation — occasional, elemental, continuous and ultimate — all of which are effected by the inherent potency of the Supreme Lord. Learned scholars have designated this topic dissolution ।। 12-7-17 ।।

english translation

ब्रह्मांडीय विनाश के चार प्रकार हैं - सामयिक, तात्विक, निरंतर और अंतिम - ये सभी सर्वोच्च भगवान की अंतर्निहित शक्ति से प्रभावित होते हैं। विद्वान विद्वानों ने इस विषय को विच्छेद बताया है ।। १२-७-१७ ।।

हेतुर्जीवोऽस्य सर्गादेरविद्याकर्मकारकः । यं चानुशयिनं प्राहुरव्याकृतमुतापरे ।। १२-७-१८ ।।

sanskrit

Out of ignorance the living being performs material activities and thereby becomes in one sense the cause of the creation, maintenance and destruction of the universe. Some authorities call the living being the personality underlying the material creation, while others say he is the unmanifest self. ।। 12-7-18 ।।

english translation

अज्ञानतावश जीव भौतिक गतिविधियाँ करता है और इस प्रकार एक अर्थ में ब्रह्मांड की रचना, रखरखाव और विनाश का कारण बनता है। कुछ अधिकारी जीवित प्राणी को भौतिक सृष्टि का अंतर्निहित व्यक्तित्व कहते हैं, जबकि अन्य कहते हैं कि वह अव्यक्त आत्मा है। ।। १२-७-१८ ।।

व्यतिरेकान्वयो यस्य जाग्रत्स्वप्नसुषुप्तिषु । मायामयेषु तद्ब्रह्म जीववृत्तिष्वपाश्रयः ।। १२-७-१९ ।।

The Supreme Absolute Truth is present throughout all the stages of awareness — waking consciousness, sleep and deep sleep — throughout all the phenomena manifested by the illusory energy, and within the functions of all living entities, and He also exists separate from all these. Thus situated in His own transcendence, He is the ultimate and unique shelter. ।। 12-7-19 ।।

english translation

सर्वोच्च परम सत्य जागरूकता के सभी चरणों में मौजूद है - जाग्रत चेतना, नींद और गहरी नींद - मायावी ऊर्जा द्वारा प्रकट होने वाली सभी घटनाओं में, और सभी जीवित संस्थाओं के कार्यों में, और वह इन सभी से अलग भी मौजूद है। इस प्रकार अपने स्वयं के अतिक्रमण में स्थित, वह परम और अद्वितीय आश्रय है। ।। १२-७-१९ ।।

पदार्थेषु यथा द्रव्यं सन्मात्रं रूपनामसु । बीजादिपञ्चतान्तासु ह्यवस्थासु युतायुतम् ।। १२-७-२० ।।

Although a material object may assume various forms and names, its essential ingredient is always present as the basis of its existence. Similarly, both conjointly and separately, the Supreme Absolute Truth is always present with the created material body throughout its phases of existence, beginning with conception and ending with death. ।। 12-7-20 ।।

english translation

यद्यपि एक भौतिक वस्तु विभिन्न रूप और नाम धारण कर सकती है, लेकिन उसका आवश्यक घटक उसके अस्तित्व के आधार के रूप में हमेशा मौजूद रहता है। इसी प्रकार, संयुक्त रूप से और अलग-अलग, सर्वोच्च निरपेक्ष सत्य हमेशा अस्तित्व के सभी चरणों में निर्मित भौतिक शरीर के साथ मौजूद रहता है, गर्भाधान से शुरू होकर मृत्यु के साथ समाप्त होता है। ।। १२-७-२० ।।
