देवासुरमहायुद्धं राजवंशानुकीर्तनम् । इक्ष्वाकुजन्म तद्वंशः सुद्युम्नस्य महात्मनः ।। १२-१२-२१ ।।

sanskrit

An account of the great battle fought between the demigods and the demons, a systematic description of the dynasties of various kings, and narrations concerning Ikṣvāku’s birth, his dynasty and the dynasty of the pious Sudyumna — all are presented within this literature. ।। 12-12-21 ।।

english translation

देवताओं और राक्षसों के बीच लड़े गए महान युद्ध का विवरण, विभिन्न राजाओं के राजवंशों का एक व्यवस्थित विवरण, और इक्ष्वाकु के जन्म, उनके राजवंश और पवित्र सुद्युम्न के राजवंश से संबंधित आख्यान - सभी इस साहित्य में प्रस्तुत किए गए हैं। ।। १२-१२-२१ ।।

Also related are the histories of Ilā and Tārā, and the description of the descendants of the sun-god, including such kings as Śaśāda and Nṛga. ।। 12-12-22 ।।

इला और तारा का इतिहास और सूर्य-देवता के वंशजों का वर्णन भी संबंधित है, जिसमें शशाद और नृग जैसे राजा भी शामिल हैं। ।। १२-१२-२२ ।।

रामस्य कोसलेन्द्रस्य चरितं किल्बिषापहम् । निमेरङ्गपरित्यागो जनकानां च सम्भवः ।। १२-१२-२४ ।।

The Bhāgavatam narrates the sanctifying pastimes of Lord Rāmacandra, the King of Kośala, and also explains how King Nimi abandoned his material body. The appearance of the descendants of King Janaka is also mentioned. ।। 12-12-24 ।।

भागवतम कोशल के राजा भगवान रामचन्द्र की पवित्र लीलाओं का वर्णन करता है, और यह भी बताता है कि कैसे राजा निमि ने अपने भौतिक शरीर का त्याग किया। राजा जनक के वंशजों के आविर्भाव का भी उल्लेख मिलता है। ।। १२-१२-२४ ।।

रामस्य भार्गवेन्द्रस्य निःक्षत्रकरणं भुवः । ऐलस्य सोमवंशस्य ययातेर्नहुषस्य च ।। १२-१२-२५ ।।

sanskrit

The Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam describes how Lord Paraśurāma, the greatest descendant of Bhṛgu, annihilated all the kṣatriyas on the face of the earth. It further recounts the lives of glorious kings who appeared in the dynasty of the moon-god ।। 12-12-25 ।।

english translation

श्रीमद-भागवतम में वर्णन किया गया है कि कैसे भृगु के सबसे महान वंशज, भगवान परशुराम ने पृथ्वी पर सभी क्षत्रियों का विनाश किया। इसमें चंद्रदेव के राजवंश में प्रकट हुए गौरवशाली राजाओं के जीवन का वर्णन किया गया है ।। १२-१२-२५ ।।
