यत्र स्नात्वा दक्षशापाद्गृहीतो यक्ष्मणोडुराट् । विमुक्तः किल्बिषात्सद्यो भेजे भूयः कलोदयम् ।। ११-६-३६ ।।

sanskrit

Once, the moon was afflicted with consumption because of the curse of Dakṣa, but just by taking bath at Prabhāsa-kṣetra, the moon was immediately freed from his sinful reaction and again resumed the waxing of his phases. ।। 11-6-36 ।।

english translation

एक बार, दक्ष के श्राप के कारण चंद्रमा भस्म हो गया था, लेकिन प्रभास-क्षेत्र में स्नान करने से, चंद्रमा तुरंत अपनी पापी प्रतिक्रिया से मुक्त हो गया और फिर से अपने चरणों में वृद्धि शुरू कर दी। ।। ११-६-३६ ।।

वयं च तस्मिन्नाप्लुत्य तर्पयित्वा पितॄन् सुरान् । भोजयित्वोशिजो विप्रान् नानागुणवतान्धसा ।। ११-६-३७ ।।

sanskrit

By bathing at Prabhāsa-kṣetra, by offering sacrifice there to placate the forefathers and demigods, by feeding the worshipable brāhmaṇas with various delicious foodstuffs ।। 11-6-37 ।।

english translation

प्रभास-क्षेत्र में स्नान करके, पितरों और देवताओं को प्रसन्न करने के लिए वहां यज्ञ करके, पूजनीय ब्राह्मणों को विभिन्न स्वादिष्ट भोजन खिलाकर ।। ११-६-३७ ।।

तेषु दानानि पात्रेषु श्रद्धयोप्त्वा महान्ति वै । वृजिनानि तरिष्यामो दानैर्नौभिरिवार्णवम् ।। ११-६-३८ ।।

sanskrit

by bestowing opulent gifts upon them as the most suitable candidates for charity, we will certainly cross over these terrible dangers through such acts of charity, just as one can cross over a great ocean in a suitable boat. ।। 11-6-38 ।।

english translation

दान के लिए सबसे उपयुक्त उम्मीदवारों के रूप में उन्हें भव्य उपहार प्रदान करके, हम निश्चित रूप से दान के ऐसे कार्यों के माध्यम से इन भयानक खतरों को पार कर लेंगे, जैसे कोई एक उपयुक्त नाव में एक विशाल महासागर को पार कर सकता है। ।। ११-६-३८ ।।

श्रीशुक उवाच एवं भगवताऽऽदिष्टा यादवाः कुलनन्दन । गन्तुं कृतधियस्तीर्थं स्यन्दनान् समयूयुजन् ।। ११-६-३९ ।।

sanskrit

Śukadeva Gosvāmī said: O favorite son of the Kurus, thus advised by the Personality of Godhead, the Yādavas made up their minds to go to that holy place, Prabhāsa-kṣetra, and thus yoked their horses to their chariots. ।। 11-6-39 ।।

english translation

शुकदेव गोस्वामी ने कहा: हे कौरवों के प्रिय पुत्र, भगवान की सलाह पर, यादवों ने उस पवित्र स्थान, प्रभास-क्षेत्र में जाने का मन बना लिया, और इस प्रकार अपने घोड़ों को अपने रथों में जोड़ लिया। ।। ११-६-३९ ।।

तन्निरीक्ष्योद्धवो राजन् श्रुत्वा भगवतोदितम् । दृष्ट्वारिष्टानि घोराणि नित्यं कृष्णमनुव्रतः ।। ११-६-४० ।।

My dear King, Uddhava was a constantly faithful follower of Lord Kṛṣṇa. Upon seeing the imminent departure of the Yādavas, hearing from them of the Lord’s instructions and taking note of the fearful omens, he approached the Personality of Godhead in a private place. ।। 11-6-40 ।।

english translation

मेरे प्रिय राजा, उद्धव भगवान कृष्ण के निरंतर वफादार अनुयायी थे। यादवों के आसन्न प्रस्थान को देखकर, उनसे भगवान के निर्देशों को सुनकर और भयावह संकेतों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, वह एक निजी स्थान में भगवान के पास पहुंचे। ।। ११-६-४० ।।
