वदन्ति तेऽन्योन्यमुपासितस्त्रियो गृहेषु मैथुन्यपरेषु चाशिषः । यजन्त्यसृष्टान्नविधानदक्षिणं वृत्त्यै परं घ्नन्ति पशूनतद्विदः ।। ११-५-८ ।।

The materialistic followers of Vedic rituals, giving up the worship of the Lord, instead practically worship their wives, and thus their homes become dedicated to sex life. Such materialistic householders encourage one another in such whimsical behavior. Understanding ritualistic sacrifice as a necessary item for bodily maintenance, they perform unauthorized ceremonies in which there is no distribution of foodstuffs or charity to the brāhmaṇas and other respectable persons. Instead, they cruelly slaughter animals such as goats without any understanding of the dark consequences of their activities. ।। 11-5-8 ।।

english translation

वैदिक अनुष्ठानों के भौतिकवादी अनुयायी, भगवान की पूजा छोड़कर, व्यावहारिक रूप से अपनी पत्नियों की पूजा करते हैं, और इस प्रकार उनके घर यौन जीवन के लिए समर्पित हो जाते हैं। ऐसे भौतिकवादी गृहस्थ एक-दूसरे को ऐसे सनकी व्यवहार के लिए प्रोत्साहित करते हैं। शारीरिक भरण-पोषण के लिए अनुष्ठानिक यज्ञ को आवश्यक वस्तु समझकर, वे अनधिकृत अनुष्ठान करते हैं जिसमें ब्राह्मणों और अन्य सम्मानित व्यक्तियों को भोजन या दान का वितरण नहीं किया जाता है। इसके बजाय, वे अपनी गतिविधियों के बुरे परिणामों को समझे बिना बकरियों जैसे जानवरों का क्रूरतापूर्वक वध करते हैं। ।। ११-५-८ ।।
