कटिसूत्रब्रह्मसूत्रकिरीटकटकाङ्गदैः । हारनूपुरमुद्राभिः कौस्तुभेन विराजितम् ॥ ११-३०-३१ ॥
He wore a pair of silken garments, an ornamental belt, the sacred thread, bracelets and arm ornaments, along with a helmet, the Kaustubha jewel, necklaces, anklets and other royal emblems. ॥ 11-30-31 ॥

Encircling His body were flower garlands and His personal weapons in their embodied forms. As He sat He held His left foot, with its lotus-red sole, upon His right thigh. ॥ 11-30-32 ॥

Just then a hunter named Jarā, who had approached the place, mistook the Lord’s foot for a deer’s face. Thinking he had found his prey, Jarā pierced the foot with his arrow, which he had fashioned from the remaining iron fragment of Sāmba’s club. ॥ 11-30-33 ॥

तभी जरा नाम का एक शिकारी, जो उस स्थान पर आया था, उसने गलती से भगवान के पैर को हिरण का चेहरा समझ लिया। यह सोचकर कि उसे अपना शिकार मिल गया है, जरा ने अपने तीर से उसके पैर में छेद कर दिया, जिसे उसने सांबा की छड़ी के बचे हुए लोहे के टुकड़े से बनाया था। ॥ ११-३०-३३ ॥

चतुर्भुजं तं पुरुषं दृष्ट्वा स कृतकिल्बिषः । भीतः पपात शिरसा पादयोरसुरद्विषः ॥ ११-३०-३४ ॥
Then, seeing that four-armed personality, the hunter became terrified of the offense he had committed, and he fell down, placing his head upon the feet of the enemy of the demons. ॥ 11-30-34 ॥

तब उस चतुर्भुजी स्वरूप को देखकर शिकारी अपने किये हुए अपराध से भयभीत हो गया और राक्षसों के शत्रु के पैरों पर सिर रखकर गिर पड़ा। ॥ ११-३०-३४ ॥

Jarā said: O Lord Madhusūdana, I am a most sinful person. I have committed this act out of ignorance. O purest Lord, O Uttamaḥśloka, please forgive this sinner. ॥ 11-30-35 ॥

जरा ने कहा: हे भगवान मधुसूदन, मैं सबसे पापी व्यक्ति हूं। मैंने अज्ञानतावश यह कृत्य किया है। हे शुद्धतम भगवान, हे उत्तमश्लोक, कृपया इस पापी को क्षमा करें। ॥ ११-३०-३५ ॥
