एवं प्रश्नमृषीन् पूर्वमपृच्छं पितुरन्तिके । नाब्रुवन् ब्रह्मणः पुत्रास्तत्र कारणमुच्यताम् ॥ ११-३-४२ ॥
Once in the past, in the presence of my father, Mahārāja Ikṣvāku, I placed a similar question before four great sages who were sons of Lord Brahmā. But they did not answer my question. Please explain the reason for this ॥ 11-3-42 ॥

एक बार अतीत में, मेरे पिता, महाराज इक्ष्वाकु की उपस्थिति में, मैंने चार महान ऋषियों के सामने एक समान प्रश्न रखा था जो भगवान ब्रह्मा के पुत्र थे। लेकिन उन्होंने मेरे सवाल का जवाब नहीं दिया. कृपया इसका कारण बताएं ॥ ११-३-४२ ॥
