प्रबुद्ध उवाच कर्माण्यारभमाणानां दुःखहत्यै सुखाय च । पश्येत्पाकविपर्यासं मिथुनीचारिणां नृणाम् ।। ११-३-१८ ।।

sanskrit

Śrī Prabuddha said: Accepting the roles of male and female in human society, the conditioned souls unite in sexual relationships. Thus they constantly make material endeavors to eliminate their unhappiness and unlimitedly increase their pleasure. But one should see that they inevitably achieve exactly the opposite result. In other words, their happiness inevitably vanishes, and as they grow older their material discomfort increases. ।। 11-3-18 ।।

english translation

श्री प्रबुद्ध ने कहा: मानव समाज में पुरुष और महिला की भूमिकाओं को स्वीकार करते हुए, बद्ध आत्माएं यौन संबंधों में एकजुट होती हैं। इस प्रकार वे अपने दुःख को दूर करने और अपने सुख को असीमित रूप से बढ़ाने के लिए निरंतर भौतिक प्रयास करते रहते हैं। लेकिन किसी को यह देखना चाहिए कि वे अनिवार्य रूप से बिल्कुल विपरीत परिणाम प्राप्त करते हैं। दूसरे शब्दों में, उनकी ख़ुशी अनिवार्य रूप से गायब हो जाती है, और जैसे-जैसे वे बड़े होते जाते हैं उनकी भौतिक परेशानी बढ़ती जाती है। ।। ११-३-१८ ।।
