यदा आशिष आशास्य मां भजेत स्वकर्मभिः । तं रजःप्रकृतिं विद्याद्धिंसामाशास्य तामसम् ॥ ११-२५-११ ॥
When a person worships Me by his prescribed duties with the hope of gaining material benefit, his nature should be understood to be in passion, and one who worships Me with the desire to commit violence against others is in ignorance. ॥ 11-25-11 ॥

जब कोई व्यक्ति भौतिक लाभ की आशा से अपने निर्धारित कर्तव्यों द्वारा मेरी पूजा करता है, तो उसका स्वभाव रजोगुणी समझना चाहिए और जो दूसरों के प्रति हिंसा करने की इच्छा से मेरी पूजा करता है, वह अज्ञान में है। ॥ ११-२५-११ ॥
