चत्वार्येवेति तत्रापि तेज आपोऽन्नमात्मनः । जातानि तैरिदं जातं जन्मावयविनः खलु ।। ११-२२-२१ ।।

Some philosophers propose the existence of four basic elements, of which three — fire, water and earth — emanate from the fourth, the Self. Once existing, these elements produce the cosmic manifestation, in which all material creation takes place. ।। 11-22-21 ।।

english translation

कुछ दार्शनिक चार मूल तत्वों के अस्तित्व का प्रस्ताव करते हैं, जिनमें से तीन - अग्नि, जल और पृथ्वी - चौथे, स्वयं से उत्पन्न होते हैं। एक बार विद्यमान होने पर, ये तत्व ब्रह्मांडीय अभिव्यक्ति उत्पन्न करते हैं, जिसमें सभी भौतिक सृजन होते हैं। ।। ११-२२-२१ ।।
