दण्डन्यासः परं दानं कामत्यागस्तपः स्मृतम् । स्वभावविजयः शौर्यं सत्यं च समदर्शनम् ॥ ११-१९-३७ ॥
The greatest charity is to give up all aggression toward others, and renunciation of lust is understood to be real austerity. Real heroism is to conquer one’s natural tendency to enjoy material life, and reality is seeing the Supreme Personality of Godhead everywhere. ॥ 11-19-37 ॥

सबसे बड़ा दान दूसरों के प्रति सभी आक्रामकता को त्यागना है, और वासना का त्याग ही वास्तविक तपस्या समझा जाता है। वास्तविक वीरता भौतिक जीवन का आनंद लेने की अपनी स्वाभाविक प्रवृत्ति पर विजय पाना है, और वास्तविकता हर जगह भगवान के परम व्यक्तित्व को देखना है। ॥ ११-१९-३७ ॥
