आद्यन्तवन्त एवैषां लोकाः कर्मविनिर्मिताः । दुःखोदर्कास्तमोनिष्ठाः क्षुद्रानन्दाः शुचार्पिताः ।। ११-१४-११ ।।

sanskrit

All the persons I have just mentioned obtain temporary fruits from their material work. Indeed, the meager and miserable situations they achieve bring future unhappiness and are based on ignorance. Even while enjoying the fruits of their work, such persons are filled with lamentation. ।। 11-14-11 ।।

english translation

जिन व्यक्तियों का मैंने अभी उल्लेख किया है वे सभी अपने भौतिक कार्यों से अस्थायी फल प्राप्त करते हैं। वास्तव में, वे जो तुच्छ और दयनीय स्थितियाँ प्राप्त करते हैं, वे भविष्य में दुःख लाती हैं और अज्ञान पर आधारित होती हैं। ऐसे व्यक्ति अपने कर्म का फल भोगते समय भी शोक से भरे रहते हैं। ।। ११-१४-११ ।।
