को न्वर्थः सुखयत्येनं कामो वा मृत्युरन्तिके । आघातं नीयमानस्य वध्यस्येव न तुष्टिदः ॥ ११-१०-२० ॥
Death is not at all pleasing, and since everyone is exactly like a condemned man being led to the place of execution, what possible happiness can people derive from material objects or the gratification they provide? ॥ 11-10-20 ॥

मृत्यु बिल्कुल भी सुखद नहीं है, और चूँकि हर कोई बिल्कुल उस दोषी व्यक्ति की तरह है जिसे फाँसी की जगह पर ले जाया जा रहा है, तो लोगों को भौतिक वस्तुओं या उनके द्वारा प्रदान की जाने वाली संतुष्टि से क्या संभावित खुशी मिल सकती है? ॥ ११-१०-२० ॥
