तद्धर्मज्ञ महाभाग भवद्भिर्गौरवं कुलम् । वृजिनं नार्हति प्राप्तुं पूज्यं वन्द्यमभीक्ष्णशः ॥ १-७-४६ ॥
O most fortunate one who know the principles of religion, it is not good for you to cause grief to glorious family members who are always respectable and worshipful. ॥ 1-7-46 ॥

हे धर्म के ज्ञाता परम भाग्यशाली, यह आपको शोभा नहीं देता कि आप सदा से पूज्य तथा वन्दनीय, गौरवशाली परिवार के सदस्यों के शोक का कारण बनें। ॥ १-७-४६ ॥

मा रोदीदस्य जननी गौतमी पतिदेवता । यथाहं मृतवत्साऽऽर्ता रोदिम्यश्रुमुखी मुहुः ॥ १-७-४७ ॥
My lord, do not make the wife of Droṇācārya cry like me. I am aggrieved for the death of my sons. She need not cry constantly like me. ॥ 1-7-47 ॥
english translation
हे स्वामी, द्रोणाचार्य की पत्नी को मेरे समान मत रुलाओ। मैं अपने पुत्रों की मृत्यु के लिए संतप्त हूँ। कहीं उसे भी मेरे समान निरन्तर रोना न पड़े। ॥ १-७-४७ ॥

यैः कोपितं ब्रह्मकुलं राजन्यैरजितात्मभिः । तत्कुलं प्रदहत्याशु सानुबन्धं शुचार्पितम् ॥ १-७-४८ ॥
If the kingly administrative order, being unrestricted in sense control, offends the brāhmaṇa order and enrages them, then the fire of that rage burns up the whole body of the royal family and brings grief upon them all. ॥ 1-7-48 ॥

यदि इन्द्रियतृप्ति में निरकुंश बनकर राजकुल ब्राह्मण कुल को अपमानित और कुपित करता है, तो वह क्रोध की अग्नि समस्त राजकुल को जला देती है और सबों को दुख देती है। ॥ १-७-४८ ॥

सूत उवाच धर्म्यं न्याय्यं सकरुणं निर्व्यलीकं समं महत् । राजा धर्मसुतो राज्ञ्याः प्रत्यनन्दद्वचो द्विजाः ॥ १-७-४९ ॥
Sūta Gosvāmī said: O brāhmaṇas, King Yudhiṣṭhira fully supported the statements of the Queen, which were in accordance with the principles of religion and were justified, glorious, full of mercy and equity, and without duplicity. ॥ 1-7-49 ॥
english translation
सूत गोस्वामी ने कहा : हे ब्राह्मणो, राजा युधिष्ठिर ने रानी के वचनों का पूर्ण अनुमोदन किया, क्योंकि वे धर्म के नियमों के अनुसार न्यायोचित, गौरवशाली, दया तथा समता से पूर्ण एवं निष्कपट थे। ॥ १-७-४९ ॥

नकुलः सहदेवश्च युयुधानो धनञ्जयः । भगवान् देवकीपुत्रो ये चान्ये याश्च योषितः ॥ १-७-५० ॥
Nakula and Sahadeva [the younger brothers of the King] and also Sātyaki, Arjuna, the Personality of Godhead Lord Sri Kṛṣṇa, son of Devakī, and the ladies and others all unanimously agreed with the King. ॥ 1-7-50 ॥

नकुल तथा सहदेव (राजा के छोटे भाई) तथा सात्यकि, अर्जुन, देवकीपुत्र भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण तथा स्त्रियों एवं अन्यों ने एक स्वर से राजा से सहमति व्यक्त की। ॥ १-७-५० ॥
