अयोनिजा तु या कन्या ह्यंबिकांशसमुद्भवा ॥ अजातपुंस्पर्शरतिरविलंघ्यपराक्रमा ॥ २६ ॥
The daughter of Ayonija was born from the part of Ambikā. She was attracted to unborn male touch and had invincible prowess.
english translation
ayonijA tu yA kanyA hyaMbikAMzasamudbhavA ॥ ajAtapuMsparzaratiravilaMghyaparAkramA ॥ 26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतया तु नौ वधः संख्ये तस्यां कामाभिभूतयोः ॥ इति चाभ्यर्थितो ब्रह्मा ताभ्याम्प्राह तथास्त्विति ॥ २७ ॥
She killed us in battle, both of us overcome by lust. Thus requested by them Brahma said to them, "So be it.
english translation
tayA tu nau vadhaH saMkhye tasyAM kAmAbhibhUtayoH ॥ iti cAbhyarthito brahmA tAbhyAmprAha tathAstviti ॥ 27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptततः प्रभृति शक्रादीन्विजित्य समरे सुरान् ॥ निःस्वाध्यायवषट्कारं जगच्चक्रतुरक्रमात् ॥ २८ ॥
Ever since, the two demons wrought havoc in the universe. They defeated Indra and other gods in war. They abolished the study of the Vedas and offering to the gods.
english translation
tataH prabhRti zakrAdInvijitya samare surAn ॥ niHsvAdhyAyavaSaTkAraM jagaccakraturakramAt ॥ 28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतयोर्वधाय देवेशं ब्रह्माभ्यर्थितवान्पुनः ॥ विनिंद्यापि रहस्यं वां क्रोधयित्वा यथा तथा ॥ २९ ॥
Again he begged Lord Brahmā, the lord of the demigods, to kill them. Even if I blame you for the secret I will make you angry in any way I can.

tayorvadhAya devezaM brahmAbhyarthitavAnpunaH ॥ viniMdyApi rahasyaM vAM krodhayitvA yathA tathA ॥ 29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतद्वर्णकोशजां शक्तिमकामां कन्यकात्मिकाम् ॥ निशुम्भशुंभयोर्हंत्रीं सुरेभ्यो दातुमर्हसि ॥ ३० ॥
The power born of that varṇa treasury was unwanted and was in the form of a daughter. You should give to the demigods the killer of Nishumbha and Shumbha.

tadvarNakozajAM zaktimakAmAM kanyakAtmikAm ॥ nizumbhazuMbhayorhaMtrIM surebhyo dAtumarhasi ॥ 30 ॥
