एवमभ्यर्थितो धात्रा भगवान्नीललोहितः ॥ कालीत्याह रहस्यं वां निन्दयन्निव सस्मितः ॥ ३१ ॥
Thus requested by the creator, the Supreme Personality of Godhead appeared blue and red. Kali said with a smile as if condemning you for the secret.
english translation
ततः क्रुद्धा तदा देवी सुवर्णा वर्णकारणात् ॥ स्मयन्ती चाह भर्तारमसमाधेयया गिरा ॥ ३२ ॥
Then the goddess Suvarṇa became angry because of her colour. She smiled at her husband in an unconcerned voice.

देव्युवाच ॥ ईदृशो मम वर्णेस्मिन्न रतिर्भवतो ऽस्ति चेत् ॥ एवावन्तं चिरं कालं कथमेषा नियम्यते ॥ ३३ ॥
The goddess said:— “If my lord has no pleasure in my complexion how is it that I have been held up here so long.

अरत्या वर्तमानो ऽपि कथं च रमसे मया ॥ न ह्यशक्यं जगत्यस्मिन्नीश्वरस्य जगत्प्रभोः ॥ ३४ ॥
If you are displeased with me why do you spoil with me? There is nothing in this universe which is unachievable for my lord, the lord of the universe.
english translation
स्वात्मारामस्य भवतो रतिर्न सुखसाधनम् ॥ इति हेतोः स्मरो यस्मात्प्रसभं भस्मसात्कृतः ॥ ३५ ॥
To my lord taking delight in the soul, happiness is not derivable from sexual indulgence; for the very reason Kāma was reduced to ashes.
