तिर्यक्स्रोतस्तु यः प्रोक्तस्तिर्यग्योनिः स पञ्चमः ॥ तदूर्ध्वस्रोतसः षष्ठो देवसर्गस्तु स स्मृतः ॥ १६ ॥
The fifth source of the animals is called Tiryaksrota. The sixth creation of the demigods is celebrated as the creation of the demigods.
english translation
ततो ऽर्वाक्स्रोतसां सर्गः सप्तमः स तु मानुषः ॥ अष्टमो ऽनुग्रहः सर्गः कौमारो नवमः स्मृतः ॥ १७ ॥
Then the seventh creation of the streams of water was that of the human race. The eighth creation is called Anugraha, and the ninth is called Kaumāra.
english translation
प्राकृताश्च त्रयः पूर्वे सर्गास्ते ऽबुद्धिपूर्वकाः ॥ बुद्धिपूर्वं प्रवर्तन्ते मुख्याद्याः पञ्च वैकृताः ॥ १८ ॥
The first three creations are primary. They work without intelligence. The five secondary creations function intelligently.

अग्रे ससर्ज वै ब्रह्मा मानसानात्मनः समान् ॥ सनन्दं सनकञ्चैव विद्वांसञ्च सनातनम् ॥ १९ ॥
In the past, Lord Brahmā created the mental form of the self. Sananda and Sanaka were the eternal learned men.
english translation
ऋभुं सनत्कुमारञ्च पूर्वमेव प्रजापतिः ॥ सर्वे ते योगिनो ज्ञेया वीतरागा विमत्सराः ॥ २० ॥
The creator had already created Ṛbhu and Sanatkumara. All such yogīs should be understood to be free from attachment and envy.
