प्रकाशाबहिरन्तस्ते तमोद्रिक्ता रजो ऽधिकाः ॥ पञ्चमोनुग्रहः सर्गश्चतुर्धा संव्यवस्थितः ॥ ११ ॥
Outside the light they are more likely to be in the darkness than in the dust. The fifth grace is the creation, which is composed of four parts.

prakAzAbahirantaste tamodriktA rajo 'dhikAH ॥ paJcamonugrahaH sargazcaturdhA saMvyavasthitaH ॥ 11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptविपर्ययेण शक्त्या च तुष्ट्यासिद्ध्या तथैव च ॥ ते ऽपरिग्राहिणः सर्वे संविभागरताः पुनः ॥ १२ ॥
The opposite is true of power, satisfaction and incompleteness. They all received the gifts and again engaged in distribution.
english translation
viparyayeNa zaktyA ca tuSTyAsiddhyA tathaiva ca ॥ te 'parigrAhiNaH sarve saMvibhAgaratAH punaH ॥ 12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptखादनाश्चाप्यशीलाश्च भूताद्याः परिकीर्तिताः ॥ प्रथमो महतः सर्गो ब्रह्मणः परमेष्ठिनः ॥ १३ ॥
They are also described as eaters and uncouth creatures. This is the first great creation of the Supreme Brahman.
english translation
khAdanAzcApyazIlAzca bhUtAdyAH parikIrtitAH ॥ prathamo mahataH sargo brahmaNaH parameSThinaH ॥ 13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतन्मात्राणां द्वितीयस्तु भूतसर्गः स उच्यते ॥ वैकारिकस्तृतीयस्तु सर्ग ऐन्द्रियकः स्मृतः ॥ १४ ॥
The first creation of Brahmā is that of Mahat; the second is that of subtle elements and is called Bhūtasarga; the third is known as organic.
english translation
tanmAtrANAM dvitIyastu bhUtasargaH sa ucyate ॥ vaikArikastRtIyastu sarga aindriyakaH smRtaH ॥ 14 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइत्येष प्रकृतेः सर्गः सम्भृतो ऽबुद्धिपूर्वकः ॥ १५ मुख्यसर्गश्चतुर्थस्तु मुख्या वै स्थावराः स्मृताः ॥ १५ ॥
The primary creation took place without the intervention of intellect. The fourth was the creation or immobile beings.

ityeSa prakRteH sargaH sambhRto 'buddhipUrvakaH ॥ 15 mukhyasargazcaturthastu mukhyA vai sthAvarAH smRtAH ॥ 15 ॥
