॥ पुत्र उवाच ॥ न तात तपसा मृत्युं वंचयिष्ये न विद्यया॥ महादेवस्य भजनान्मृत्युं जेष्यामि नान्यथा ॥ ६१॥
he son said:— O father, I shall deceive death by means of my penance, not learning. By worshipping great god, I will conquer death, not otherwise.
