तपसा क्षीयते सत्यमेतदेव मया श्रुतम् ॥ तस्माच्च तपसस्तेद्य भविष्यति फलं कुतः ॥ १४॥
It is true that it is destroyed by austerities I have heard. And therefore where will the fruit of your austerities be today?
english translation
tapasA kSIyate satyametadeva mayA zrutam ॥ tasmAcca tapasastedya bhaviSyati phalaM kutaH ॥ 14॥
