येनेदञ्च धृतन्तेन व्याप्तमेव न संशयः ।। प्रथमम्मातृगर्भे वै जन्म दुःखस्य कारणम् ।। २२।।

By this misery alone is the body held and pervaded. There is no doubt in this. At the outset, the very birth in the mother’s womb is a cause of misery.

english translation

yenedaJca dhRtantena vyAptameva na saMzayaH || prathamammAtRgarbhe vai janma duHkhasya kAraNam || 22||
