इत्थन्ते वर्णितस्तात शिवस्य परमात्मनः ॥ सुरेश्वरावतारो हि सर्वदा सुखदः सताम् ॥ ७६॥
O dear, thus, the incarnation of Śiva the great soul, as Indra has been explained to you. It bestows happiness to the good always.
english translation
इदमाख्यानमनघं सर्वकामफलप्रदम् ॥ स्वर्ग्यं यशस्यमायुष्यं भुक्तिमुक्तिप्रदं सताम् ॥ ७७॥
This story is pious and it yields the fruits of all desires. It is conducive to heaven, fame and longevity. It yields worldly pleasures and salvation to the good.
english translation
य एतच्छृणुयाद्भक्त्या श्रावयेद्वा समाहितः ॥ इह सर्वसुखं भुक्त्वा सोऽन्ते शिवगतिं लभेत् ॥ ७८ ॥
He who listens to this with devotion and narrates this with purity of mind enjoys all pleasures here and attains Śiva’s goal hereafter.
