तावत्स राजा निशितैर्भल्लैर्व्याघ्रमताडयत् ।। न स तैर्विव्यथे किंचिद्गिरीन्द्र इव वृष्टिभिः ।। १८।।

sanskrit

The king struck the tiger with sharp arrows; but it was not at all affected by them. It stood like a lofty mountain, which is not affected by showers.

english translation

tAvatsa rAjA nizitairbhallairvyAghramatADayat || na sa tairvivyathe kiMcidgirIndra iva vRSTibhiH || 18||
