नन्दीश्वर उवाच ॥ इत्थं बहुस्तुतः शम्भुर्ब्रह्मणा सर्षिनिर्जरैः ॥ लोकसंरक्षणार्थाय विष्णोरानयनाय च ॥ ५४ ॥
Nandīśvara said:— For the protection of the worlds and for the redemption of Viṣṇu, Śiva was eulogised thus by Brahmā, the gods and the sages.
