यथेह पुत्रपौत्रादेः प्रीत्या प्रीतो भवेत्पिता ॥ तथा विश्वस्य सम्प्रीत्या प्रीतो भवति शंकरः ॥ १४ ॥

sanskrit

Just as a father is delighted at the pleasures of sons, grandsons and others, so also Śiva is delighted at the pleasures of the universe.

english translation

yatheha putrapautrAdeH prItyA prIto bhavetpitA ॥ tathA vizvasya samprItyA prIto bhavati zaMkaraH ॥ 14 ॥
