Shiva Purana
य एक ईश्वरः कश्चिदविकारो महाप्रभुः ॥ स मे पुत्रवरं दद्यादिति निश्चितमानसः ॥ ५ ॥
He decided in his mind thus—, “let that sole great lord, whoever he is, who is free from aberrations, grant me the boon of a son.”
english translation
ya eka IzvaraH kazcidavikAro mahAprabhuH ॥ sa me putravaraM dadyAditi nizcitamAnasaH ॥ 5 ॥
