असमर्थो रमेशोपि दुःखदस्ते मुहुर्मुहुः ॥ अतः सुरा मच्छरणा वेदयन्तोऽसुखं च तत् ॥ १६॥
Even Viṣṇu cannot move in this matter. He has frequently pressed you for this job. The gods have sought refuge in me intimating their misfortune.
english translation
asamartho ramezopi duHkhadaste muhurmuhuH ॥ ataH surA maccharaNA vedayanto'sukhaM ca tat ॥ 16॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतदर्थं देवदेवेश देवदुःखविनाशकः ॥ तत्पूरितुं तपोनिष्ठां प्रसन्नार्थं तवासदम् ॥ १७॥
O lord of the chiefs of the gods, O destroyer of the miseries of the godi, it is for this that I have performed this penance and resorted to you. My purpose has now been fulfilled by you since you are pleased.
english translation
tadarthaM devadeveza devaduHkhavinAzakaH ॥ tatpUrituM taponiSThAM prasannArthaM tavAsadam ॥ 17॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशरणं ते प्रपन्नोऽस्मि सर्वथाहं महेश्वर ॥ कामं मे पूरय स्वामिन्देवदुःखं विनाशय ॥ १८॥
O lord, I have sought refuge in you by all means O lord, please fulfill my desire. Please dispel the misery of the gods.
english translation
zaraNaM te prapanno'smi sarvathAhaM mahezvara ॥ kAmaM me pUraya svAmindevaduHkhaM vinAzaya ॥ 18॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुत्रदुःखैश्च देवेश दुःखितोऽहं विशेषतः ॥ सुखिनं कुरु मामीश सहाय स्त्वन्दिवौकसाम् ॥ १९॥
O lord of gods, I too am much distressed at the misfortune of my sons. O lord, make me happy. You are the source of succour to the heaven-dwellers.
english translation
putraduHkhaizca deveza duHkhito'haM vizeSataH ॥ sukhinaM kuru mAmIza sahAya stvandivaukasAm ॥ 19॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभूत्वा मम सुतो नाथ देवा यक्षाः पराजिताः ॥ दैत्यैर्महाबलैश्शम्भो सुरानन्दप्रदो भव ॥ २०॥
O lord Śiva, the gods and the Yakṣas, born as my sons, have been defeated by the powerful Asuras. Be the bestower of bliss on the gods.

bhUtvA mama suto nAtha devA yakSAH parAjitAH ॥ daityairmahAbalaizzambho surAnandaprado bhava ॥ 20॥
