वरम्ब्रूहीति चोवाच सुप्रसन्नो महेश्वरः ॥ कश्यपं मुनिशार्दूलं स्वभक्तं भक्तवत्सलः ॥ ११॥
The delighted Śiva who is favourably disposed towards his devotees said to Kaśyapa, the best of his devotees, to ask for the boon.
english translation
varambrUhIti covAca suprasanno mahezvaraH ॥ kazyapaM munizArdUlaM svabhaktaM bhaktavatsalaH ॥ 11॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदृष्ट्वाथ तं महेशानं स प्रणम्य कृताञ्जलिः ॥ तुष्टाव कश्यपो हृष्टो देवतातः प्रस न्नधीः ॥ १२॥
On seeing lord Śiva, the delighted Kaśyapa bowed to him with palms joined in reverence. Kaśyapa, the progenitor of the gods, eulogised him with contentment in his mind.
english translation
dRSTvAtha taM mahezAnaM sa praNamya kRtAJjaliH ॥ tuSTAva kazyapo hRSTo devatAtaH prasa nnadhIH ॥ 12॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकश्यप उवाच ॥ देवदेव महेशान शरणागतवत्सल ॥ सर्वेश्वरः परात्मा त्वं ध्यानगम्योद्वयोऽव्ययः ॥ १३॥
Kaśyapa said O lord Śiva, lord of the gods, favourably disposed towards those who seek refuge in you, you are the lord of all, the great soul, achievable only through meditation, the unequalled and unchanging.
english translation
kazyapa uvAca ॥ devadeva mahezAna zaraNAgatavatsala ॥ sarvezvaraH parAtmA tvaM dhyAnagamyodvayo'vyayaH ॥ 13॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptबलनिग्रह कर्ता त्वं महेश्वर सतां गतिः ॥ दीनबन्धुर्दयासिन्धुर्भक्तरक्षणदक्षधीः ॥ १४॥
O lord Śiva, you are the restrainer of evil forces. You are the goal of the good, kinsman of the distressed, ocean of mercy and intellectually efficient in protecting your devotees.
english translation
balanigraha kartA tvaM mahezvara satAM gatiH ॥ dInabandhurdayAsindhurbhaktarakSaNadakSadhIH ॥ 14॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएते सुरास्त्वदीया हि त्वद्भक्ताश्च विशेषतः ॥ दैत्यैः पराजिताश्चाथ पाहि तान्दुःखितान् प्रभो ॥ १५॥
O lord, these gods are your own. They are especially devoted to you. Now they are defeated by the Asuras. Save them from distress.
english translation
ete surAstvadIyA hi tvadbhaktAzca vizeSataH ॥ daityaiH parAjitAzcAtha pAhi tAnduHkhitAn prabho ॥ 15॥
