कर्ता हर्त्ता तथा भर्त्ताऽयमेव परमेश्वरः ॥ एतद्बलेन वलिनो जीवाः सर्वेऽन्यथा न हि ॥ ३१ ॥
The lord himself is the creator, sustainer and annihilator. The living beings are powerful thanks only to his power. Otherwise they are not powerful.
english translation
kartA harttA tathA bharttA'yameva paramezvaraH ॥ etadbalena valino jIvAH sarve'nyathA na hi ॥ 31 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअस्य मायाप्रभावाद्वै मोहिताः स्वप्रभुं शिवम् ॥ मदतो बुबुधु नैवाद्यापि बोधतनुम्प्रभुम् ॥ ३२ ॥
Deluded by the power of his illusion you have become arrogant and have not realised lord śiva, who is the very knowledge embodied.
english translation
asya mAyAprabhAvAdvai mohitAH svaprabhuM zivam ॥ madato bubudhu naivAdyApi bodhatanumprabhum ॥ 32 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptइति श्रुत्वा नभोवाणीं बुबुधुस्ते गतस्मयाः ॥ यक्षेश्वरम्प्रणेमुश्च तुष्टुवुश्च तमीश्वरम् ॥ ३३ ॥
O hearing the celestial voice they became divested of their arrogance. They had realised Yakṣeśvara. They bowed to and eulogised him.
english translation
iti zrutvA nabhovANIM bubudhuste gatasmayAH ॥ yakSezvarampraNemuzca tuSTuvuzca tamIzvaram ॥ 33 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptदेवा ऊचुः ॥ देवदेव महादेव सर्वगर्वापहारक॥ यक्षेश्वरमहालील माया तेत्यद्भुता प्रभो॥ ३४॥
The gods said:— O lord of the gods, the dispeller of arrogance, O Yakṣeśvara of great sports, O lord, your Māyā is wonderful.
english translation
devA UcuH ॥ devadeva mahAdeva sarvagarvApahAraka॥ yakSezvaramahAlIla mAyA tetyadbhutA prabho॥ 34॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमोहिता माययाद्यापि तव यक्षस्वरूपिणः ॥ सगर्वमभिभाषन्तस्त्वत्पुरो हि पृथङ्मयाः॥ ३५॥
Even now we are deluded by this Māyā of yours in the form of Yakṣa. Hence, separated from you we began to speak arrogantly before you.
english translation
mohitA mAyayAdyApi tava yakSasvarUpiNaH ॥ sagarvamabhibhASantastvatpuro hi pRthaGmayAH॥ 35॥
