चित्ते विचार्य्य गृहिणीगुणान्विश्वानरः शुभान् ॥ उदुवाह विधानेन स्वोचितां कालकन्यकाम् ॥ ६ ॥
After pondering over the good qualities of an ideal housewife, Viśvānara married with due rites the daughter of Kāla who was really worthy of him.
english translation
citte vicAryya gRhiNIguNAnvizvAnaraH zubhAn ॥ uduvAha vidhAnena svocitAM kAlakanyakAm ॥ 6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअग्निशुश्रूषणरतः पञ्चयज्ञपरायणः ॥ षट्कर्मनिरतो नित्यं देवपित्रतिथिप्रियः ॥ ७ ॥
He maintained the sacrificial fires. He was devoted to the performance of the five daily sacrifices. He practised the six sacred rites every day. He was fond of serving gods, manes and guests.

agnizuzrUSaNarataH paJcayajJaparAyaNaH ॥ SaTkarmanirato nityaM devapitratithipriyaH ॥ 7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवम्बहुतिथे काले गते तस्याग्रजन्मनः ॥ भार्य्या शुचिष्मती नाम भर्तारम्प्राह सुव्रता ॥ ८ ॥
When a long time elapsed in that manner Śuciṣmatī the wife of that Brāhmaṇa who observed all rites spoke to her husband.

evambahutithe kAle gate tasyAgrajanmanaH ॥ bhAryyA zuciSmatI nAma bhartAramprAha suvratA ॥ 8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनाथ भोगा मया सर्वे भुक्ता वै त्वत्प्रसादतः ॥ स्त्रीणां समुचिता ये स्युस्त्वां समेत्य मुदावहाः ॥ ९ ॥
“O Lord, by your favour, all pleasures which women could expect have been enjoyed by me in your company.

nAtha bhogA mayA sarve bhuktA vai tvatprasAdataH ॥ strINAM samucitA ye syustvAM sametya mudAvahAH ॥ 9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएवम्मे प्रार्थितन्नाथ चिराय हृदि संस्थितम् ॥ गृहस्थानां समुचितं त्वमेतद्दातुमर्हसि ॥ १० ॥
O Lord, still a desire has been lurking in my heart for a long time. It is proper to all householders. You shall grant it to me.

evamme prArthitannAtha cirAya hRdi saMsthitam ॥ gRhasthAnAM samucitaM tvametaddAtumarhasi ॥ 10 ॥
