जटीमुण्डी शिखण्डी च अर्द्धमुण्डश्च जज्ञिरे ॥ योगेनादिश्य सद्धर्मं कृत्वा योगगतिं गताः ॥३६॥
There were born Jaṭin, Muṇḍin, Sikhaṇḍin [Śikhaṇḍin] and Ardhamuṇḍa. By means of Yoga they imparted good virtue and attained the goal of Yoga.
english translation
एवं संक्षेपतः प्रोक्तः सद्यादीनां समुद्भवः ॥ सनत्कुमार सर्वज्ञ लोकानां हितकाम्यया ॥३७॥
Thus I have succinctly narrated the origin of Sadyojāta and others, O Sanatkumāra, O omniscient one, being desirous of the welfare of all the worlds.

अथ तेषां महाप्राज्ञ व्यवहारं यथायथम् ॥ त्रिलोकहितकारं हि सर्वं ब्रह्माण्डसंस्थितम्॥३८॥
Then, O intelligent one, their dealings are beneficial to the three worlds and everything that is existent in the universe.

ईशानः पुरुषो घोरो वामसंज्ञस्तथैव च ॥ ब्रह्मसंज्ञो महेशस्य मूर्तयः पंच विश्रुताः ॥३९॥
The five famous forms of Maheśa are thus named Īśāna, Puruṣa, Aghora, Vāma and Brahman. (also see Appendix on the five faces of Śiva)

ईशानः शिवरूपश्च गरीयान्प्रथमः स्मृतः ॥ भोक्तारं प्रकृतेः साक्षात्क्षेत्रज्ञमधितिष्ठति ॥ ४०॥
Īśāna form of Śiva is the first and the principal one. It directly occupies and presides over the individual soul, the enjoyer of Prakṛti.
