हिमाचलोऽपि मुदितो द्वाराचारमथाकरोत् ।। मेनापि सर्वनारीभिर्महोत्सवपुरस्सरम् ।।२१।।

sanskrit

The delighted Himācala too carried out the customary rites of reception at the entrance. Menā also jubilantly took part in the same along with all the womenfolk.

english translation

परपुच्छां चकारासौ मुदिता स्वगृहं ययौ ।। शिवो निवेदितं स्थानं जगाम गणनिर्जरैः ।।२२।।

sanskrit

She made formal inquiries about the health of the bridegroom and gladly went into the house. Śiva went to the apartments assigned to Him along with the Gaṇas and the gods.

एतस्मिन्नन्तरे दुर्गां शैलान्तःपुरचारिका ।। बहिर्जग्मुस्समादाय पूजितुं कुलदेवताम् ।। २३ ।।

In the meantime the servant-maids in the harem of the mountain took Pārvatī out in order to worship the tutelar family deity.

तत्र तां ददृशुर्देवा निमेषरहिता मुदा ।। सुनीलांजनवर्णाभां स्वांगैश्च प्रतिभूषिताम्। ।।२४।।

There, the gods beheld her (Pārvatī) joyfully, without even blinking, Her complexion like dark blue collyrium (kohl), splendidly adorned with her own natural beauty.

Respected by even the third eye of Śiva, drawing all eyes upon her and averting others’ glances, With a gentle smile and pleasing expression, her side-long glance was deeply enchanting.
