O Hrshikesha ! O Keshinisudan ( slayer of demon Kesi ) I desire to know the truth about renunciation (Sannyasa) and abnegation (Tyaga) severally.

And Such an act has no significance, here or hereafter."

This word sat is used with regard to (something) coming into being and with regard to (someone) becoming good. So also, the word sat is used with regard to an auspicious rite.

By that were created formerly, the Brahmanas, the Vedas and the sacrifices.
