    रामलक्ष्मणयोश्चापि दर्शयिष्यामि सुव्रत । यद्यस्य धनुषो रामः कुर्यादारोपणं मुने । सुतामयोनिजां सीतां दद्यां दाशरथेरहम् ॥ १-६६-२६rAmalakSmaNayozcApi darzayiSyAmi suvrata । yadyasya dhanuSo rAmaH kuryAdAropaNaM mune । sutAmayonijAM sItAM dadyAM dAzaratheraham ॥ 1-66-26- and oh ! saint of sacred vows, I will show it, even to Rama and Lakshmana. if Rama could lift and string this bow, oh ! sage, I will offer my daughter, whose birth is non-uterine, to Dasharatha's Rama.' ( So said Janaka to Vishvamitra. ) ॥ 1-66-26॥

They were wicked, exhausted and doubtful about their energy. Oh ! tiger among asceties, this is that supremely radiant bow - ॥ 1-66-25॥

Then those kings who were beaten and defeated ( by Gods army ), fled away in different directions . - ॥ 1-66-24॥

Then I propitiated the assemblages of gods by my ascesis. ॥ 1-66-23॥

Those eminent kings surmised for themselves that they are humiliated. ॥ 1-66-21॥
