    आच्छाद्य चार्चयित्वा च श्रुतशीलवते स्वयम् । आहूय दानं कन्याया ब्राह्मो धर्मः प्रकीर्तितः ॥ २७ ॥AcchAdya cArcayitvA ca zrutazIlavate svayam । AhUya dAnaM kanyAyA brAhmo dharmaH prakIrtitaH ॥ 27 ॥The gift of a daughter, after decking her (with costly garments) and honouring (her by presents of jewels), to a man learned in the Veda and of good conduct, whom (the father) himself invites, is called the Brahma rite.
