या त॑ ऊ॒तिर॑व॒मा या प॑र॒मा या म॑ध्य॒मेन्द्र॑ शुष्मि॒न्नस्ति॑ । ताभि॑रू॒ षु वृ॑त्र॒हत्ये॑ऽवीर्न ए॒भिश्च॒ वाजै॑र्म॒हान्न॑ उग्र ॥ या त ऊतिरवमा या परमा या मध्यमेन्द्र शुष्मिन्नस्ति । ताभिरू षु वृत्रहत्येऽवीर्न एभिश्च वाजैर्महान्न उग्र ॥
Powerful Indra, with these (your protections), whether the protection be little, great or middlin, defend us for the destruction of our foes; supply us, fierce Indra, who are mighty, with those viands (that are needed).

(Induced) by these (praises), protecting our assailing host, baffle, Indra, the wrath of the enemy; (induced) by them, overthrow, on the part of the Ārya, all the servile people everywhere abiding.

Abhi॒: spRdho॑ mitha॒tIrari॑SaNyanna॒mitra॑sya vyathayA ma॒nyumi॑ndra । Abhi॒rvizvA॑ abhi॒yujo॒ viSU॑cI॒rAryA॑ya॒ vizo'va॑ tArI॒rdAsI॑: ॥ AbhiH spRdho mithatIrariSaNyannamitrasya vyathayA manyumindra । AbhirvizvA abhiyujo viSUcIrAryAya vizo'va tArIrdAsIH ॥

Annihilate, Indra, the strength of those who, whether kinsmen or unrelated, present themselves before us, exerting themselves as adversaries; enfeeble their prowess, put them to fight.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptशूरो॑ वा॒ शूरं॑ वनते॒ शरी॑रैस्तनू॒रुचा॒ तरु॑षि॒ यत्कृ॒ण्वैते॑ । तो॒के वा॒ गोषु॒ तन॑ये॒ यद॒प्सु वि क्रन्द॑सी उ॒र्वरा॑सु॒ ब्रवै॑ते ॥ शूरो वा शूरं वनते शरीरैस्तनूरुचा तरुषि यत्कृण्वैते । तोके वा गोषु तनये यदप्सु वि क्रन्दसी उर्वरासु ब्रवैते ॥
The hero, (favoured by you), assuredly slays the (hostile) hero by his bodily prowess, when, both excelling in person nal strength, they strive together in conflict, or when, clamorous, they dispute for (the sake of) sons, of grandson, of cattle, of water, of land.

zUro॑ vA॒ zUraM॑ vanate॒ zarI॑raistanU॒rucA॒ taru॑Si॒ yatkR॒Nvaite॑ । to॒ke vA॒ goSu॒ tana॑ye॒ yada॒psu vi kranda॑sI u॒rvarA॑su॒ bravai॑te ॥ zUro vA zUraM vanate zarIraistanUrucA taruSi yatkRNvaite । toke vA goSu tanaye yadapsu vi krandasI urvarAsu bravaite ॥

But you (no one) resists, neither the hero, nor the fleet runner, nor the resolute, nor the combatant confiding (in his valour); neither of these, Indra, is a match for you; you are superior to all these persons.
