नाना॑ चक्राते य॒म्या॒३॒॑ वपूं॑षि॒ तयो॑र॒न्यद्रोच॑ते कृ॒ष्णम॒न्यत् । श्यावी॑ च॒ यदरु॑षी च॒ स्वसा॑रौ म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ नाना चक्राते यम्या वपूंषि तयोरन्यद्रोचते कृष्णमन्यत् । श्यावी च यदरुषी च स्वसारौ महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
The twin pair (day and night) adopt various forms; one of them shines brightly, the other is black; twin sisters are they, one black and the other white; great and unequalled is the might of the gods.
english translation
मा॒ता च॒ यत्र॑ दुहि॒ता च॑ धे॒नू स॑ब॒र्दुघे॑ धा॒पये॑ते समी॒ची । ऋ॒तस्य॒ ते सद॑सीळे अ॒न्तर्म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ माता च यत्र दुहिता च धेनू सबर्दुघे धापयेते समीची । ऋतस्य ते सदसीळे अन्तर्महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
Where the mother and daughter, two productive kine, unite, they nourish each other; I worship them both in (the firmament), the dwelling of the waters great and unequalled is the might of the gods.
english translation
अ॒न्यस्या॑ व॒त्सं रि॑ह॒ती मि॑माय॒ कया॑ भु॒वा नि द॑धे धे॒नुरूध॑: । ऋ॒तस्य॒ सा पय॑सापिन्व॒तेळा॑ म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ अन्यस्या वत्सं रिहती मिमाय कया भुवा नि दधे धेनुरूधः । ऋतस्य सा पयसापिन्वतेळा महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
Licking the calf of the other, one of them lows aloud; the cow offers her udder for the one that is without mosture (the earth), and she (the earth) is refreshed by the milk of the rain; great and unequalles is the might of the gods.
english translation
पद्या॑ वस्ते पुरु॒रूपा॒ वपूं॑ष्यू॒र्ध्वा त॑स्थौ॒ त्र्यविं॒ रेरि॑हाणा । ऋ॒तस्य॒ सद्म॒ वि च॑रामि वि॒द्वान्म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ पद्या वस्ते पुरुरूपा वपूंष्यूर्ध्वा तस्थौ त्र्यविं रेरिहाणा । ऋतस्य सद्म वि चरामि विद्वान्महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
The earth wears bodies of many forms; she abides on high cherishing her year and a half old (calf); knowing the abode of the truth (the sun), I offer worship; great and unequalled is the might of the gods.

प॒दे इ॑व॒ निहि॑ते द॒स्मे अ॒न्तस्तयो॑र॒न्यद्गुह्य॑मा॒विर॒न्यत् । स॒ध्री॒ची॒ना प॒थ्या॒३॒॑ सा विषू॑ची म॒हद्दे॒वाना॑मसुर॒त्वमेक॑म् ॥ पदे इव निहिते दस्मे अन्तस्तयोरन्यद्गुह्यमाविरन्यत् । सध्रीचीना पथ्या सा विषूची महद्देवानामसुरत्वमेकम् ॥
Like two (distinguishing) impressions, they (day and night) are plural ced visible in the midst (between heaven and earth), one hidden, one manifest; the path (of both) is common, and that is universal (for good and evil) great and unequalled is the might of the gods.
