ए॒तान्य॑ग्ने नव॒तिं स॒हस्रा॒ सं प्र य॑च्छ॒ वृष्ण॒ इन्द्रा॑य भा॒गम् । वि॒द्वान्प॒थ ऋ॑तु॒शो दे॑व॒याना॒नप्यौ॑ला॒नं दि॒वि दे॒वेषु॑ धेहि ॥ एतान्यग्ने नवतिं सहस्रा सं प्र यच्छ वृष्ण इन्द्राय भागम् । विद्वान्पथ ऋतुशो देवयानानप्यौलानं दिवि देवेषु धेहि ॥
Give, Agni, these ninety thousands to the showerer, Indra, as his share; knowing the paths traversedby the gods in due season plural ce the Aulāna (Śantanu), in heaven among the gods.

अग्ने॒ बाध॑स्व॒ वि मृधो॒ वि दु॒र्गहापामी॑वा॒मप॒ रक्षां॑सि सेध । अ॒स्मात्स॑मु॒द्राद्बृ॑ह॒तो दि॒वो नो॒ऽपां भू॒मान॒मुप॑ नः सृजे॒ह ॥ अग्ने बाधस्व वि मृधो वि दुर्गहापामीवामप रक्षांसि सेध । अस्मात्समुद्राद्बृहतो दिवो नोऽपां भूमानमुप नः सृजेह ॥
Demolish, Agni, our enemies, demolish their strongholds, drive away disease, drive away therākṣasas from this ocean, from vast heaven send own upon us here abundance of rain.
