ग्रावा॑णो॒ न सू॒रय॒: सिन्धु॑मातर आदर्दि॒रासो॒ अद्र॑यो॒ न वि॒श्वहा॑ । शि॒शूला॒ न क्री॒ळय॑: सुमा॒तरो॑ महाग्रा॒मो न याम॑न्नु॒त त्वि॒षा ॥ ग्रावाणो न सूरयः सिन्धुमातर आदर्दिरासो अद्रयो न विश्वहा । शिशूला न क्रीळयः सुमातरो महाग्रामो न यामन्नुत त्विषा ॥
Having streams for mothers like the grinding-stones which send forth moisture; ever destroying(enemies) like destructive thunderbolts; having tender mothers like sportive infants; (endowed) with splendourlike a great crowd of men in a procession.
english translation
उ॒षसां॒ न के॒तवो॑ऽध्वर॒श्रिय॑: शुभं॒यवो॒ नाञ्जिभि॒र्व्य॑श्वितन् । सिन्ध॑वो॒ न य॒यियो॒ भ्राज॑दृष्टयः परा॒वतो॒ न योज॑नानि ममिरे ॥ उषसां न केतवोऽध्वरश्रियः शुभंयवो नाञ्जिभिर्व्यश्वितन् । सिन्धवो न ययियो भ्राजदृष्टयः परावतो न योजनानि ममिरे ॥
Who, radiant in sacrifices like the rays of the dawn, shine with their ornaments like those expectant ofgood fortune, (who) swift-moving like rivers, having bright weapons, have traversed leagues like mares who have journeyed from far, (may they come to our sacrifice).
english translation
सु॒भा॒गान्नो॑ देवाः कृणुता सु॒रत्ना॑न॒स्मान्त्स्तो॒तॄन्म॑रुतो वावृधा॒नाः । अधि॑ स्तो॒त्रस्य॑ स॒ख्यस्य॑ गात स॒नाद्धि वो॑ रत्न॒धेया॑नि॒ सन्ति॑ ॥ सुभागान्नो देवाः कृणुता सुरत्नानस्मान्त्स्तोतॄन्मरुतो वावृधानाः । अधि स्तोत्रस्य सख्यस्य गात सनाद्धि वो रत्नधेयानि सन्ति ॥
Divine Maruts, magnified (by our praise), render us, your praisers, prosperous and opulent; come tothis friendly laudation, for your precious bounties have been long (bestowed upon us).
