इ॒मां धियं॑ स॒प्तशी॑र्ष्णीं पि॒ता न॑ ऋ॒तप्र॑जातां बृह॒तीम॑विन्दत् । तु॒रीयं॑ स्विज्जनयद्वि॒श्वज॑न्यो॒ऽयास्य॑ उ॒क्थमिन्द्रा॑य॒ शंस॑न् ॥ इमां धियं सप्तशीर्ष्णीं पिता न ऋतप्रजातां बृहतीमविन्दत् । तुरीयं स्विज्जनयद्विश्वजन्योऽयास्य उक्थमिन्द्राय शंसन् ॥

This great seven-headed ceremony, born of truth our father (Aṅgirasa) discovered; Ayāsya, thefrined of all races, engendered the fourth (genitive ration), reciting a hymn to Indra.

i॒mAM dhiyaM॑ sa॒ptazI॑rSNIM pi॒tA na॑ R॒tapra॑jAtAM bRha॒tIma॑vindat | tu॒rIyaM॑ svijjanayadvi॒zvaja॑nyo॒'yAsya॑ u॒kthamindrA॑ya॒ zaMsa॑n || imAM dhiyaM saptazIrSNIM pitA na RtaprajAtAM bRhatImavindat | turIyaM svijjanayadvizvajanyo'yAsya ukthamindrAya zaMsan ||

ऋ॒तं शंस॑न्त ऋ॒जु दीध्या॑ना दि॒वस्पु॒त्रासो॒ असु॑रस्य वी॒राः । विप्रं॑ प॒दमङ्गि॑रसो॒ दधा॑ना य॒ज्ञस्य॒ धाम॑ प्रथ॒मं म॑नन्त ॥ ऋतं शंसन्त ऋजु दीध्याना दिवस्पुत्रासो असुरस्य वीराः । विप्रं पदमङ्गिरसो दधाना यज्ञस्य धाम प्रथमं मनन्त ॥

Reciting sincere praise, reflecting correctly, the Aṅgirasas, the pious sons of the brilliant and powerful(Agni), upholding the intelligent base, the supporter of the sacrifice, praise from the beginning.

english translation

R॒taM zaMsa॑nta R॒ju dIdhyA॑nA di॒vaspu॒trAso॒ asu॑rasya vI॒rAH | vipraM॑ pa॒damaGgi॑raso॒ dadhA॑nA ya॒jJasya॒ dhAma॑ pratha॒maM ma॑nanta || RtaM zaMsanta Rju dIdhyAnA divasputrAso asurasya vIrAH | vipraM padamaGgiraso dadhAnA yajJasya dhAma prathamaM mananta ||

हं॒सैरि॑व॒ सखि॑भि॒र्वाव॑दद्भिरश्म॒न्मया॑नि॒ नह॑ना॒ व्यस्य॑न् । बृह॒स्पति॑रभि॒कनि॑क्रद॒द्गा उ॒त प्रास्तौ॒दुच्च॑ वि॒द्वाँ अ॑गायत् ॥ हंसैरिव सखिभिर्वावदद्भिरश्मन्मयानि नहना व्यस्यन् । बृहस्पतिरभिकनिक्रदद्गा उत प्रास्तौदुच्च विद्वाँ अगायत् ॥

With his friends (the Maruts) clamouring like geese, throwing open the (asuras') cattle-folds made ofstone, Bṛhaspati calling aloud (desires to carry off) the cows; knowing all things he praises (the gods) and chants (their laudation).

haM॒sairi॑va॒ sakhi॑bhi॒rvAva॑dadbhirazma॒nmayA॑ni॒ naha॑nA॒ vyasya॑n | bRha॒spati॑rabhi॒kani॑krada॒dgA u॒ta prAstau॒ducca॑ vi॒dvA~ a॑gAyat || haMsairiva sakhibhirvAvadadbhirazmanmayAni nahanA vyasyan | bRhaspatirabhikanikradadgA uta prAstauducca vidvA~ agAyat ||

अ॒वो द्वाभ्यां॑ प॒र एक॑या॒ गा गुहा॒ तिष्ठ॑न्ती॒रनृ॑तस्य॒ सेतौ॑ । बृह॒स्पति॒स्तम॑सि॒ ज्योति॑रि॒च्छन्नुदु॒स्रा आक॒र्वि हि ति॒स्र आव॑: ॥ अवो द्वाभ्यां पर एकया गा गुहा तिष्ठन्तीरनृतस्य सेतौ । बृहस्पतिस्तमसि ज्योतिरिच्छन्नुदुस्रा आकर्वि हि तिस्र आवः ॥

Avo dvayam param ye gauha statiranritatas setu. Bṛhaspati, the light of the universe, is the source of all the lights of the universe. Avo is a cave of a cow, and the seas are standing in the fields. Bṛhaspati is the source of all the lights of the universe, and the three worlds are the source of the universe.

वि॒भिद्या॒ पुरं॑ श॒यथे॒मपा॑चीं॒ निस्त्रीणि॑ सा॒कमु॑द॒धेर॑कृन्तत् । बृह॒स्पति॑रु॒षसं॒ सूर्यं॒ गाम॒र्कं वि॑वेद स्त॒नय॑न्निव॒ द्यौः ॥ विभिद्या पुरं शयथेमपाचीं निस्त्रीणि साकमुदधेरकृन्तत् । बृहस्पतिरुषसं सूर्यं गामर्कं विवेद स्तनयन्निव द्यौः ॥

Resting near it, demolishing the western city, Bṛhaspati wrested at once from Vala the three, thedawn, the sun, the cow; thundering like the heaven, he proclaimed the adorable (Sun).
