सु॒ष्वा॒णास॑ इन्द्र स्तु॒मसि॑ त्वा सस॒वांस॑श्च तुविनृम्ण॒ वाज॑म् । आ नो॑ भर सुवि॒तं यस्य॑ चा॒कन्त्मना॒ तना॑ सनुयाम॒ त्वोता॑: ॥ सुष्वाणास इन्द्र स्तुमसि त्वा ससवांसश्च तुविनृम्ण वाजम् । आ नो भर सुवितं यस्य चाकन्त्मना तना सनुयाम त्वोताः ॥

sanskrit

Having poured out the libation, we praise you, Indra; having presented the sacrificial food, we (praiseyou), granter of abundant wealth; bring us the wealth which one longs for; protected by you may we acquire riches through yourself alone.

english translation

su॒SvA॒NAsa॑ indra stu॒masi॑ tvA sasa॒vAMsa॑zca tuvinRmNa॒ vAja॑m | A no॑ bhara suvi॒taM yasya॑ cA॒kantmanA॒ tanA॑ sanuyAma॒ tvotA॑: || suSvANAsa indra stumasi tvA sasavAMsazca tuvinRmNa vAjam | A no bhara suvitaM yasya cAkantmanA tanA sanuyAma tvotAH ||

ऋ॒ष्वस्त्वमि॑न्द्र शूर जा॒तो दासी॒र्विश॒: सूर्ये॑ण सह्याः । गुहा॑ हि॒तं गुह्यं॑ गू॒ळ्हम॒प्सु बि॑भृ॒मसि॑ प्र॒स्रव॑णे॒ न सोम॑म् ॥ ऋष्वस्त्वमिन्द्र शूर जातो दासीर्विशः सूर्येण सह्याः । गुहा हितं गुह्यं गूळ्हमप्सु बिभृमसि प्रस्रवणे न सोमम् ॥

sanskrit

Hero Indra, who are mighty, may you as soon as you are born overcome with Sūrya the races of theDāsas, and the fugitive (Vala) lurking in secrecy, hidden in the waters; we now present to you the Soma in acopious stream. your praisers; may we be of those who gratify (you) with Soma libations; to you, O car-borne indra, these(praises are offered) with sacrificial viands.

english translation

R॒Svastvami॑ndra zUra jA॒to dAsI॒rviza॒: sUrye॑Na sahyAH | guhA॑ hi॒taM guhyaM॑ gU॒Lhama॒psu bi॑bhR॒masi॑ pra॒srava॑Ne॒ na soma॑m || RSvastvamindra zUra jAto dAsIrvizaH sUryeNa sahyAH | guhA hitaM guhyaM gULhamapsu bibhRmasi prasravaNe na somam ||

अ॒र्यो वा॒ गिरो॑ अ॒भ्य॑र्च वि॒द्वानृषी॑णां॒ विप्र॑: सुम॒तिं च॑का॒नः । ते स्या॑म॒ ये र॒णय॑न्त॒ सोमै॑रे॒नोत तुभ्यं॑ रथोळ्ह भ॒क्षैः ॥ अर्यो वा गिरो अभ्यर्च विद्वानृषीणां विप्रः सुमतिं चकानः । ते स्याम ये रणयन्त सोमैरेनोत तुभ्यं रथोळ्ह भक्षैः ॥

sanskrit

Arya or the mountains, the learned, the sages, the brāhmaṇas, the Sumati, the Chakana. They will be the ones who are fighting with the moons, and you will be able to do it with your chariots. The brāhmaṇas, who were learned, worshiped the sages, and the learned men of the Sumati. We shall fight with the moon-gods who fight with the chariots of the chariots.

इ॒मा ब्रह्मे॑न्द्र॒ तुभ्यं॑ शंसि॒ दा नृभ्यो॑ नृ॒णां शू॑र॒ शव॑: । तेभि॑र्भव॒ सक्र॑तु॒र्येषु॑ चा॒कन्नु॒त त्रा॑यस्व गृण॒त उ॒त स्तीन् ॥ इमा ब्रह्मेन्द्र तुभ्यं शंसि दा नृभ्यो नृणां शूर शवः । तेभिर्भव सक्रतुर्येषु चाकन्नुत त्रायस्व गृणत उत स्तीन् ॥

To you, Indra, have these prayers been addressed grant, O hero, strength to the leaders of men; be ofone mind with those in whom you delight, and protect those who praise you, and the worshippers who stand round about.

english translation

i॒mA brahme॑ndra॒ tubhyaM॑ zaMsi॒ dA nRbhyo॑ nR॒NAM zU॑ra॒ zava॑: | tebhi॑rbhava॒ sakra॑tu॒ryeSu॑ cA॒kannu॒ta trA॑yasva gRNa॒ta u॒ta stIn || imA brahmendra tubhyaM zaMsi dA nRbhyo nRNAM zUra zavaH | tebhirbhava sakraturyeSu cAkannuta trAyasva gRNata uta stIn ||

श्रु॒धी हव॑मिन्द्र शूर॒ पृथ्या॑ उ॒त स्त॑वसे वे॒न्यस्या॒र्कैः । आ यस्ते॒ योनिं॑ घृ॒तव॑न्त॒मस्वा॑रू॒र्मिर्न निम्नैर्द्र॑वयन्त॒ वक्वा॑: ॥ श्रुधी हवमिन्द्र शूर पृथ्या उत स्तवसे वेन्यस्यार्कैः । आ यस्ते योनिं घृतवन्तमस्वारूर्मिर्न निम्नैर्द्रवयन्त वक्वाः ॥

Hear, hero Indra, the invocation of Pṛthu; you are glorified by the praises of the son of Vena, whocelebrated your hall of sacrifice, full of ghī; your praisers rush to you like a torrent through precipitous banks.
