द्यावा॑ ह॒ क्षामा॑ प्रथ॒मे ऋ॒तेना॑भिश्रा॒वे भ॑वतः सत्य॒वाचा॑ । दे॒वो यन्मर्ता॑न्य॒जथा॑य कृ॒ण्वन्त्सीद॒द्धोता॑ प्र॒त्यङ्स्वमसुं॒ यन् ॥ द्यावा ह क्षामा प्रथमे ऋतेनाभिश्रावे भवतः सत्यवाचा । देवो यन्मर्तान्यजथाय कृण्वन्त्सीदद्धोता प्रत्यङ्स्वमसुं यन् ॥
Heaven and earth, declarers of truth, principal (of things), be present at the invocation, associatedwith the rite, when the divine (Agni), exciting mortals to sacrifice, sits down in their presence as the invoker (ofthe gods) putting forth his flame.

दे॒वो दे॒वान्प॑रि॒भूॠ॒तेन॒ वहा॑ नो ह॒व्यं प्र॑थ॒मश्चि॑कि॒त्वान् । धू॒मके॑तुः स॒मिधा॒ भाऋ॑जीको म॒न्द्रो होता॒ नित्यो॑ वा॒चा यजी॑यान् ॥ देवो देवान्परिभूॠतेन वहा नो हव्यं प्रथमश्चिकित्वान् । धूमकेतुः समिधा भाऋजीको मन्द्रो होता नित्यो वाचा यजीयान् ॥
Do you, bright (Agni), surrounding the gods, carry our oblation with due rites; you, who are the chief(of the deities), the wise, the smoke-bannered, fuel-kindled, straight-flaming, adorable, the invoker, the constant sacrificer with prayer.

स्वावृ॑ग्दे॒वस्या॒मृतं॒ यदी॒ गोरतो॑ जा॒तासो॑ धारयन्त उ॒र्वी । विश्वे॑ दे॒वा अनु॒ तत्ते॒ यजु॑र्गुर्दु॒हे यदेनी॑ दि॒व्यं घृ॒तं वाः ॥ स्वावृग्देवस्यामृतं यदी गोरतो जातासो धारयन्त उर्वी । विश्वे देवा अनु तत्ते यजुर्गुर्दुहे यदेनी दिव्यं घृतं वाः ॥
When the self-aggregated ambrosia of the divine Agni is genitive rated fromhis radiance, then theproducts from it sustain both heaven and earth, all the worshippers glorify this your oblation, the celestial nutrious water which your white lustre milks forth.

अर्चा॑मि वां॒ वर्धा॒यापो॑ घृतस्नू॒ द्यावा॑भूमी शृणु॒तं रो॑दसी मे । अहा॒ यद्द्यावोऽसु॑नीति॒मय॒न्मध्वा॑ नो॒ अत्र॑ पि॒तरा॑ शिशीताम् ॥ अर्चामि वां वर्धायापो घृतस्नू द्यावाभूमी शृणुतं रोदसी मे । अहा यद्द्यावोऽसुनीतिमयन्मध्वा नो अत्र पितरा शिशीताम् ॥
I worship you, waters that pour forth ghī, and you, heaven and earth, for your increase; hear me, youworlds; when worshippers at the daily or nightly rite proceed to their pious purpose, then may the parents (of all)sanctify us with ambrosia.
english translation
किं स्वि॑न्नो॒ राजा॑ जगृहे॒ कद॒स्याति॑ व्र॒तं च॑कृमा॒ को वि वे॑द । मि॒त्रश्चि॒द्धि ष्मा॑ जुहुरा॒णो दे॒वाञ्छ्लोको॒ न या॒तामपि॒ वाजो॒ अस्ति॑ ॥ किं स्विन्नो राजा जगृहे कदस्याति व्रतं चकृमा को वि वेद । मित्रश्चिद्धि ष्मा जुहुराणो देवाञ्छ्लोको न यातामपि वाजो अस्ति ॥
But will the royal Agni accept our oblation? Have we duly performed our vows to him? Who decides?As a friend affectionately invited, so let our praise now proceed to the gods; together with the sacrificial food thatis left over.
