Drink (Indra) the Soma for the invigoration of your organs, drink, most mighhty one, for the death ofVṛtra; drink when invoked for wealth, for strength; drink of the exhilarating Soma, and being satisfied, Indra,shower down (blessings).

अ॒स्य पि॑ब क्षु॒मत॒: प्रस्थि॑त॒स्येन्द्र॒ सोम॑स्य॒ वर॒मा सु॒तस्य॑ । स्व॒स्ति॒दा मन॑सा मादयस्वार्वाची॒नो रे॒वते॒ सौभ॑गाय ॥ अस्य पिब क्षुमतः प्रस्थितस्येन्द्र सोमस्य वरमा सुतस्य । स्वस्तिदा मनसा मादयस्वार्वाचीनो रेवते सौभगाय ॥

Drink, Indra, your excellent portion of this renowned Soma effused and poured forth; the giver ofprosperity, be delighted in your mind, (be) turned towards us to bestow riches and happiness.

english translation

a॒sya pi॑ba kSu॒mata॒: prasthi॑ta॒syendra॒ soma॑sya॒ vara॒mA su॒tasya॑ | sva॒sti॒dA mana॑sA mAdayasvArvAcI॒no re॒vate॒ saubha॑gAya || asya piba kSumataH prasthitasyendra somasya varamA sutasya | svastidA manasA mAdayasvArvAcIno revate saubhagAya ||

म॒मत्तु॑ त्वा दि॒व्यः सोम॑ इन्द्र म॒मत्तु॒ यः सू॒यते॒ पार्थि॑वेषु । म॒मत्तु॒ येन॒ वरि॑वश्च॒कर्थ॑ म॒मत्तु॒ येन॑ निरि॒णासि॒ शत्रू॑न् ॥ ममत्तु त्वा दिव्यः सोम इन्द्र ममत्तु यः सूयते पार्थिवेषु । ममत्तु येन वरिवश्चकर्थ ममत्तु येन निरिणासि शत्रून् ॥

May the celestial Soma exhilarate you, Indra; may that which is effused at terrestrial rites exhilarateyou; may that exhilarate you through the influence of which you have bestowed wealth; may that exhilarate you where by you scatter foes.

english translation

ma॒mattu॑ tvA di॒vyaH soma॑ indra ma॒mattu॒ yaH sU॒yate॒ pArthi॑veSu | ma॒mattu॒ yena॒ vari॑vazca॒kartha॑ ma॒mattu॒ yena॑ niri॒NAsi॒ zatrU॑n || mamattu tvA divyaH soma indra mamattu yaH sUyate pArthiveSu | mamattu yena varivazcakartha mamattu yena niriNAsi zatrUn ||

आ द्वि॒बर्हा॑ अमि॒नो या॒त्विन्द्रो॒ वृषा॒ हरि॑भ्यां॒ परि॑षिक्त॒मन्ध॑: । गव्या सु॒तस्य॒ प्रभृ॑तस्य॒ मध्व॑: स॒त्रा खेदा॑मरुश॒हा वृ॑षस्व ॥ आ द्विबर्हा अमिनो यात्विन्द्रो वृषा हरिभ्यां परिषिक्तमन्धः । गव्या सुतस्य प्रभृतस्य मध्वः सत्रा खेदामरुशहा वृषस्व ॥

May Indra, who deserves the twofold adoration, (of praise and prayer), who goes everywhere, theshowerer of benefits, come to the offered sacrificial food with his two bay horses; O slayer of enemies,(exhilarated) at our sacrifice (by drinking) of the Soma effused upon the cow-hide and poured (into the cups),rush like a bull upon the dispirited (foes).

A dvi॒barhA॑ ami॒no yA॒tvindro॒ vRSA॒ hari॑bhyAM॒ pari॑Sikta॒mandha॑: | gavyA su॒tasya॒ prabhR॑tasya॒ madhva॑: sa॒trA khedA॑maruza॒hA vR॑Sasva || A dvibarhA amino yAtvindro vRSA haribhyAM pariSiktamandhaH | gavyA sutasya prabhRtasya madhvaH satrA khedAmaruzahA vRSasva ||

नि ति॒ग्मानि॑ भ्रा॒शय॒न्भ्राश्या॒न्यव॑ स्थि॒रा त॑नुहि यातु॒जूना॑म् । उ॒ग्राय॑ ते॒ सहो॒ बलं॑ ददामि प्र॒तीत्या॒ शत्रू॑न्विग॒देषु॑ वृश्च ॥ नि तिग्मानि भ्राशयन्भ्राश्यान्यव स्थिरा तनुहि यातुजूनाम् । उग्राय ते सहो बलं ददामि प्रतीत्या शत्रून्विगदेषु वृश्च ॥

Brandishing your sharp, shining weapons, pierce the solid bodies of the evil spirits. I give to you whoare fierce, foe-subduing strength; having assailed the enemies, cut them to pieces in the midst of their clamour.
