इन्द्र॒स्यात्र॒ तवि॑षीभ्यो विर॒प्शिन॑ ऋघाय॒तो अ॑रंहयन्त म॒न्यवे॑ । वृ॒त्रं यदु॒ग्रो व्यवृ॑श्च॒दोज॑सा॒पो बिभ्र॑तं॒ तम॑सा॒ परी॑वृतम् ॥ इन्द्रस्यात्र तविषीभ्यो विरप्शिन ऋघायतो अरंहयन्त मन्यवे । वृत्रं यदुग्रो व्यवृश्चदोजसापो बिभ्रतं तमसा परीवृतम् ॥
Indra’s wife, Virapshina, and the daughter of the sage, were engaged in the anger. Vṛtrāsura, the fierce one, was covered with the strength of his strength. The Virapshinas, who were here, were killed by the Indras, and they were the ones who were thinking about the universe. The fierce Lord Vṛtrāsura, who was overwhelmed by the darkness of the universe, was overwhelmed by the darkness.

या वी॒र्या॑णि प्रथ॒मानि॒ कर्त्वा॑ महि॒त्वेभि॒र्यत॑मानौ समी॒यतु॑: । ध्वा॒न्तं तमोऽव॑ दध्वसे ह॒त इन्द्रो॑ म॒ह्ना पू॒र्वहू॑तावपत्यत ॥ या वीर्याणि प्रथमानि कर्त्वा महित्वेभिर्यतमानौ समीयतुः । ध्वान्तं तमोऽव दध्वसे हत इन्द्रो मह्ना पूर्वहूतावपत्यत ॥
(In the midst of) the first exploits to be performed by them which (Indra and Vṛtra) achieved strivingwith their utmost might, Vṛtra being slain, the thick darkness was destroyed, and Indra in his might came at the first challenge.

विश्वे॑ दे॒वासो॒ अध॒ वृष्ण्या॑नि॒ तेऽव॑र्धय॒न्त्सोम॑वत्या वच॒स्यया॑ । र॒द्धं वृ॒त्रमहि॒मिन्द्र॑स्य॒ हन्म॑ना॒ग्निर्न जम्भै॑स्तृ॒ष्वन्न॑मावयत् ॥ विश्वे देवासो अध वृष्ण्यानि तेऽवर्धयन्त्सोमवत्या वचस्यया । रद्धं वृत्रमहिमिन्द्रस्य हन्मनाग्निर्न जम्भैस्तृष्वन्नमावयत् ॥
Then all the gods magnified your exploits with praise, accompanied with libations of Soma; (andpeople) quickly devoured Vṛtra, the obstructer of water, wounded by Indra's slaughtering (weapon), as Agnidevours food with his teeth.

भूरि॒ दक्षे॑भिर्वच॒नेभि॒ॠक्व॑भिः स॒ख्येभि॑: स॒ख्यानि॒ प्र वो॑चत । इन्द्रो॒ धुनिं॑ च॒ चुमु॑रिं च द॒म्भय॑ञ्छ्रद्धामन॒स्या शृ॑णुते द॒भीत॑ये ॥ भूरि दक्षेभिर्वचनेभिॠक्वभिः सख्येभिः सख्यानि प्र वोचत । इन्द्रो धुनिं च चुमुरिं च दम्भयञ्छ्रद्धामनस्या शृणुते दभीतये ॥
Celebrate the numerous benevolent (acts of Indra) with clever affectionate praises, together with texts;for adoration.

त्वं पु॒रूण्या भ॑रा॒ स्वश्व्या॒ येभि॒र्मंसै॑ नि॒वच॑नानि॒ शंस॑न् । सु॒गेभि॒र्विश्वा॑ दुरि॒ता त॑रेम वि॒दो षु ण॑ उर्वि॒या गा॒धम॒द्य ॥ त्वं पुरूण्या भरा स्वश्व्या येभिर्मंसै निवचनानि शंसन् । सुगेभिर्विश्वा दुरिता तरेम विदो षु ण उर्विया गाधमद्य ॥
Do you, Indra, grant me ample riches and excellent horses with which I may honour (the gods)proffering praises; with well-acquired (riches) let us cross over all iniquity, accept our praise today with the mighṭ to cross over with ease.
