उप॒ ब्रह्मा॑णि हरिवो॒ हरि॑भ्यां॒ सोम॑स्य याहि पी॒तये॑ सु॒तस्य॑ । इन्द्र॑ त्वा य॒ज्ञः क्षम॑माणमानड्दा॒श्वाँ अ॑स्यध्व॒रस्य॑ प्रके॒तः ॥ उप ब्रह्माणि हरिवो हरिभ्यां सोमस्य याहि पीतये सुतस्य । इन्द्र त्वा यज्ञः क्षममाणमानड्दाश्वाँ अस्यध्वरस्य प्रकेतः ॥
Lord of bay horses, come with your two bays to our adorations to drink of the effused Soma; thesacrifice, Indra, reaches to you who are enduring; cognizant of the sacrifice, you are the donor of the reward.

स॒हस्र॑वाजमभिमाति॒षाहं॑ सु॒तेर॑णं म॒घवा॑नं सुवृ॒क्तिम् । उप॑ भूषन्ति॒ गिरो॒ अप्र॑तीत॒मिन्द्रं॑ नम॒स्या ज॑रि॒तुः प॑नन्त ॥ सहस्रवाजमभिमातिषाहं सुतेरणं मघवानं सुवृक्तिम् । उप भूषन्ति गिरो अप्रतीतमिन्द्रं नमस्या जरितुः पनन्त ॥
Our praises celebrate the irresistible Indra, the dispenser of abundant food, the overcomer of enemies,the delighter in the libation, the possessor of opulence, the well-praised; the adorations of the worshipper glorify(him).

स॒प्तापो॑ दे॒वीः सु॒रणा॒ अमृ॑क्ता॒ याभि॒: सिन्धु॒मत॑र इन्द्र पू॒र्भित् । न॒व॒तिं स्रो॒त्या नव॑ च॒ स्रव॑न्तीर्दे॒वेभ्यो॑ गा॒तुं मनु॑षे च विन्दः ॥ सप्तापो देवीः सुरणा अमृक्ता याभिः सिन्धुमतर इन्द्र पूर्भित् । नवतिं स्रोत्या नव च स्रवन्तीर्देवेभ्यो गातुं मनुषे च विन्दः ॥
The seven divine meandering rivers with which you, Indra, the destroyer of cities, replenished theocean, flow unimpeded; you did discover the nine-and-ninety flowing rivers (and their) path for gods and men.

अ॒पो म॒हीर॒भिश॑स्तेरमु॒ञ्चोऽजा॑गरा॒स्वधि॑ दे॒व एक॑: । इन्द्र॒ यास्त्वं वृ॑त्र॒तूर्ये॑ च॒कर्थ॒ ताभि॑र्वि॒श्वायु॑स्त॒न्वं॑ पुपुष्याः ॥ अपो महीरभिशस्तेरमुञ्चोऽजागरास्वधि देव एकः । इन्द्र यास्त्वं वृत्रतूर्ये चकर्थ ताभिर्विश्वायुस्तन्वं पुपुष्याः ॥
You did release the great waters from the malignant (obstructer), you were the only god who watchedover them; with those waters which you have employed for the destruction of Vṛtra, may you, all vivifying Indra,cherish your own person.

वी॒रेण्य॒: क्रतु॒रिन्द्र॑: सुश॒स्तिरु॒तापि॒ धेना॑ पुरुहू॒तमी॑ट्टे । आर्द॑यद्वृ॒त्रमकृ॑णोदु लो॒कं स॑सा॒हे श॒क्रः पृत॑ना अभि॒ष्टिः ॥ वीरेण्यः क्रतुरिन्द्रः सुशस्तिरुतापि धेना पुरुहूतमीट्टे । आर्दयद्वृत्रमकृणोदु लोकं ससाहे शक्रः पृतना अभिष्टिः ॥
Indra is the chief of heroes, the doer of great deeds, to whom praise is well offered; yes, and the voiceof praise lauds him the invoked of many. He slew Vṛtra, he created light; Śakra, the conqueror, has overcome(hostile) hosts.
