त्वम॑ग्ने प्रथ॒मो अङ्गि॑रा॒ ऋषि॑र्दे॒वो दे॒वाना॑मभवः शि॒वः सखा॑ । तव॑ व्र॒ते क॒वयो॑ विद्म॒नाप॒सोऽजा॑यन्त म॒रुतो॒ भ्राज॑दृष्टयः ॥ त्वमग्ने प्रथमो अङ्गिरा ऋषिर्देवो देवानामभवः शिवः सखा । तव व्रते कवयो विद्मनापसोऽजायन्त मरुतो भ्राजदृष्टयः ॥
You, Agni, was th first Aṅgiras Ṛṣi, a divinity, you were the auspicious friend of the deities. In your rite the wise, the all-discerning, the bright-weaponed Maruts were engendered.

त्वम॑ग्ने प्रथ॒मो अङ्गि॑रस्तमः क॒विर्दे॒वानां॒ परि॑ भूषसि व्र॒तम् । वि॒भुर्विश्व॑स्मै॒ भुव॑नाय॒ मेधि॑रो द्विमा॒ता श॒युः क॑ति॒धा चि॑दा॒यवे॑ ॥ त्वमग्ने प्रथमो अङ्गिरस्तमः कविर्देवानां परि भूषसि व्रतम् । विभुर्विश्वस्मै भुवनाय मेधिरो द्विमाता शयुः कतिधा चिदायवे ॥
You, Agni, the first and chief Aṅgiras, grace the worship of the gods; sapient, maniforld, for the benefit of all the world, intelligent, the off-spring of two mothers, and reposing in various ways for the use of man.
english translation
त्वम॑ग्ने प्रथ॒मो मा॑त॒रिश्व॑न आ॒विर्भ॑व सुक्रतू॒या वि॒वस्व॑ते । अरे॑जेतां॒ रोद॑सी होतृ॒वूर्येऽस॑घ्नोर्भा॒रमय॑जो म॒हो व॑सो ॥ त्वमग्ने प्रथमो मातरिश्वन आविर्भव सुक्रतूया विवस्वते । अरेजेतां रोदसी होतृवूर्येऽसघ्नोर्भारमयजो महो वसो ॥
Agni, pre-eminent over the wind, become manifest to the worshipper, in approbation of his worship. Heaven and earth tremble (at your power); you have sustained the burden in the rite for which the priest was appointed; your, Vasu, has worshipped the venerable (gods).
english translation
त्वम॑ग्ने॒ मन॑वे॒ द्याम॑वाशयः पुरू॒रव॑से सु॒कृते॑ सु॒कृत्त॑रः । श्वा॒त्रेण॒ यत्पि॒त्रोर्मुच्य॑से॒ पर्या त्वा॒ पूर्व॑मनय॒न्नाप॑रं॒ पुन॑: ॥ त्वमग्ने मनवे द्यामवाशयः पुरूरवसे सुकृते सुकृत्तरः । श्वात्रेण यत्पित्रोर्मुच्यसे पर्या त्वा पूर्वमनयन्नापरं पुनः ॥
Your, Agni, has announced heaven to Manu; you have more than requited Purūravas doing homage to you. When you are set free by the attrition of your parents, they bear you first to the east, then to the west (of the altar).

त्वम॑ग्ने वृष॒भः पु॑ष्टि॒वर्ध॑न॒ उद्य॑तस्रुचे भवसि श्र॒वाय्य॑: । य आहु॑तिं॒ परि॒ वेदा॒ वष॑ट्कृति॒मेका॑यु॒रग्रे॒ विश॑ आ॒विवा॑ससि ॥ त्वमग्ने वृषभः पुष्टिवर्धन उद्यतस्रुचे भवसि श्रवाय्यः । य आहुतिं परि वेदा वषट्कृतिमेकायुरग्रे विश आविवाससि ॥
Your, Agni, are the showerer (of desires), the augmenter of the prosperity (of your worshipper); you are to be called upon as the ladle is lifted up; upon him who fully understands the invocation and makes the oblation, you, the provider of sustenance, first bestow light, and then upon all men.
