म॒हश्चि॒त्त्वमि॑न्द्र य॒त ए॒तान्म॒हश्चि॑दसि॒ त्यज॑सो वरू॒ता । स नो॑ वेधो म॒रुतां॑ चिकि॒त्वान्त्सु॒म्ना व॑नुष्व॒ तव॒ हि प्रेष्ठा॑ ॥ महश्चित्त्वमिन्द्र यत एतान्महश्चिदसि त्यजसो वरूता । स नो वेधो मरुतां चिकित्वान्त्सुम्ना वनुष्व तव हि प्रेष्ठा ॥

You, Indra, are mighty from the might of those of whom you are the protector against abandonment therefore, creator of the Maruts, favourably-minded towards us, grant us those blessings which are most dear to you.

ma॒hazci॒ttvami॑ndra ya॒ta e॒tAnma॒hazci॑dasi॒ tyaja॑so varU॒tA | sa no॑ vedho ma॒rutAM॑ ciki॒tvAntsu॒mnA va॑nuSva॒ tava॒ hi preSThA॑ || mahazcittvamindra yata etAnmahazcidasi tyajaso varUtA | sa no vedho marutAM cikitvAntsumnA vanuSva tava hi preSThA ||

अयु॑ज्रन्त इन्द्र वि॒श्वकृ॑ष्टीर्विदा॒नासो॑ नि॒ष्षिधो॑ मर्त्य॒त्रा । म॒रुतां॑ पृत्सु॒तिर्हास॑माना॒ स्व॑र्मीळ्हस्य प्र॒धन॑स्य सा॒तौ ॥ अयुज्रन्त इन्द्र विश्वकृष्टीर्विदानासो निष्षिधो मर्त्यत्रा । मरुतां पृत्सुतिर्हासमाना स्वर्मीळ्हस्य प्रधनस्य सातौ ॥

Rulers over all men, and impelling towards man the water-shedding clouds, they are united, Indra, (with you); the host of Maruts is delighted by (your) acquisition of heaven-bestowing wealth.

english translation

ayu॑jranta indra vi॒zvakR॑STIrvidA॒nAso॑ ni॒SSidho॑ martya॒trA | ma॒rutAM॑ pRtsu॒tirhAsa॑mAnA॒ sva॑rmILhasya pra॒dhana॑sya sA॒tau || ayujranta indra vizvakRSTIrvidAnAso niSSidho martyatrA | marutAM pRtsutirhAsamAnA svarmILhasya pradhanasya sAtau ||

अम्य॒क्सा त॑ इन्द्र ऋ॒ष्टिर॒स्मे सने॒म्यभ्वं॑ म॒रुतो॑ जुनन्ति । अ॒ग्निश्चि॒द्धि ष्मा॑त॒से शु॑शु॒क्वानापो॒ न द्वी॒पं दध॑ति॒ प्रयां॑सि ॥ अम्यक्सा त इन्द्र ऋष्टिरस्मे सनेम्यभ्वं मरुतो जुनन्ति । अग्निश्चिद्धि ष्मातसे शुशुक्वानापो न द्वीपं दधति प्रयांसि ॥

Your weapon, Indra, is at hand for our (good); the Maruts send down the long-accusative ulated rain; Agni is blazing for the ceremony; the oblations encompass him as the waters (surround) an island.

english translation

amya॒ksA ta॑ indra R॒STira॒sme sane॒myabhvaM॑ ma॒ruto॑ junanti | a॒gnizci॒ddhi SmA॑ta॒se zu॑zu॒kvAnApo॒ na dvI॒paM dadha॑ti॒ prayAM॑si || amyaksA ta indra RSTirasme sanemyabhvaM maruto junanti | agnizciddhi SmAtase zuzukvAnApo na dvIpaM dadhati prayAMsi ||

त्वं तू न॑ इन्द्र॒ तं र॒यिं दा॒ ओजि॑ष्ठया॒ दक्षि॑णयेव रा॒तिम् । स्तुत॑श्च॒ यास्ते॑ च॒कन॑न्त वा॒योः स्तनं॒ न मध्व॑: पीपयन्त॒ वाजै॑: ॥ त्वं तू न इन्द्र तं रयिं दा ओजिष्ठया दक्षिणयेव रातिम् । स्तुतश्च यास्ते चकनन्त वायोः स्तनं न मध्वः पीपयन्त वाजैः ॥

Do you, Indra, quickly grant us that wealth (which you possess, for we gratify) the donor with a most worthy present; we, your praisers, offer to you, the ready giver of boons, the laudations that would propitiate you; (and the priests) nourish you with sacrificial food, as they cherish the bosom (of a feminine le for the sakeof replenishing it) with sweet (milk).

tvaM tU na॑ indra॒ taM ra॒yiM dA॒ oji॑SThayA॒ dakSi॑Nayeva rA॒tim | stuta॑zca॒ yAste॑ ca॒kana॑nta vA॒yoH stanaM॒ na madhva॑: pIpayanta॒ vAjai॑: || tvaM tU na indra taM rayiM dA ojiSThayA dakSiNayeva rAtim | stutazca yAste cakananta vAyoH stanaM na madhvaH pIpayanta vAjaiH ||

त्वे राय॑ इन्द्र तो॒शत॑माः प्रणे॒तार॒: कस्य॑ चिदृता॒योः । ते षु णो॑ म॒रुतो॑ मृळयन्तु॒ ये स्मा॑ पु॒रा गा॑तू॒यन्ती॑व दे॒वाः ॥ त्वे राय इन्द्र तोशतमाः प्रणेतारः कस्य चिदृतायोः । ते षु णो मरुतो मृळयन्तु ये स्मा पुरा गातूयन्तीव देवाः ॥

Your riches, Indra, are most delighting; the exciters of any one desirous to sacrifice; may those Maruts be propitious to us; the divine beings who were anxious to go first to the ceremony.

tve rAya॑ indra to॒zata॑mAH praNe॒tAra॒: kasya॑ cidRtA॒yoH | te Su No॑ ma॒ruto॑ mRLayantu॒ ye smA॑ pu॒rA gA॑tU॒yantI॑va de॒vAH || tve rAya indra tozatamAH praNetAraH kasya cidRtAyoH | te Su No maruto mRLayantu ye smA purA gAtUyantIva devAH ||
