मि॒त्रं न यं शिम्या॒ गोषु॑ ग॒व्यव॑: स्वा॒ध्यो॑ वि॒दथे॑ अ॒प्सु जीज॑नन् । अरे॑जेतां॒ रोद॑सी॒ पाज॑सा गि॒रा प्रति॑ प्रि॒यं य॑ज॒तं ज॒नुषा॒मव॑: ॥ मित्रं न यं शिम्या गोषु गव्यवः स्वाध्यो विदथे अप्सु जीजनन् । अरेजेतां रोदसी पाजसा गिरा प्रति प्रियं यजतं जनुषामवः ॥
Heaven and earth have been terrified by the strength and the noise (of him), whom pious worshippers, desirous of acquiring cattle, have genitive rated by their (sacred) acts, amidst the waters (of the firmament), at the sacrifice, as a friend for the preservation of living beings, the benefactor (of man), and entitled to adoration.
english translation
यद्ध॒ त्यद्वां॑ पुरुमी॒ळ्हस्य॑ सो॒मिन॒: प्र मि॒त्रासो॒ न द॑धि॒रे स्वा॒भुव॑: । अध॒ क्रतुं॑ विदतं गा॒तुमर्च॑त उ॒त श्रु॑तं वृषणा प॒स्त्या॑वतः ॥ यद्ध त्यद्वां पुरुमीळ्हस्य सोमिनः प्र मित्रासो न दधिरे स्वाभुवः । अध क्रतुं विदतं गातुमर्चत उत श्रुतं वृषणा पस्त्यावतः ॥
Since they, (the priests), like friends, have prepared for you both, (Mitra and Varuṇa a libation) of the abundantly-flowing and spontaneous Soma, therefore do you consent to come to the rite of the worshipper, and listen, showerers (of blessings), to the (prayers of the) householder.
english translation
आ वां॑ भूषन्क्षि॒तयो॒ जन्म॒ रोद॑स्योः प्र॒वाच्यं॑ वृषणा॒ दक्ष॑से म॒हे । यदी॑मृ॒ताय॒ भर॑थो॒ यदर्व॑ते॒ प्र होत्र॑या॒ शिम्या॑ वीथो अध्व॒रम् ॥ आ वां भूषन्क्षितयो जन्म रोदस्योः प्रवाच्यं वृषणा दक्षसे महे । यदीमृताय भरथो यदर्वते प्र होत्रया शिम्या वीथो अध्वरम् ॥
For the sake (of obtaining) great vigour, showerers (of benefits), men glorify your birth from heaven and earth, which is to be extolled, inasmuch as you bestow (his desires) upon the worshipper (as the reward) of his sacrifice, and accept the rite (that is solemnized) with praise and oblation.
english translation
प्र सा क्षि॒तिर॑सुर॒ या महि॑ प्रि॒य ऋता॑वानावृ॒तमा घो॑षथो बृ॒हत् । यु॒वं दि॒वो बृ॑ह॒तो दक्ष॑मा॒भुवं॒ गां न धु॒र्युप॑ युञ्जाथे अ॒पः ॥ प्र सा क्षितिरसुर या महि प्रिय ऋतावानावृतमा घोषथो बृहत् । युवं दिवो बृहतो दक्षमाभुवं गां न धुर्युप युञ्जाथे अपः ॥
Powerful divinities, most acceptable to you both is that spot, (where you are worshipped); accepters of sacrifice, proclaim the great ceremony (as duly performed); for you two connect the efficacious and comprehensive rise with the vast heaven, like a cow with a burden.
english translation
म॒ही अत्र॑ महि॒ना वार॑मृण्वथोऽरे॒णव॒स्तुज॒ आ सद्म॑न्धे॒नव॑: । स्वर॑न्ति॒ ता उ॑प॒रता॑ति॒ सूर्य॒मा नि॒म्रुच॑ उ॒षस॑स्तक्व॒वीरि॑व ॥ मही अत्र महिना वारमृण्वथोऽरेणवस्तुज आ सद्मन्धेनवः । स्वरन्ति ता उपरताति सूर्यमा निम्रुच उषसस्तक्ववीरिव ॥
You bring (the cattle) to their acceptable (pasture) upon earth, whence the milk-yielding cows, protected by your power, return unharmed to their stalls; they cry to the sun (in heaven) above, both at evening and at dawn, as one (cries aloud) who detects a thief.
