Having thus performed the five-step movement, the sutradhara, along with the others, should position the needle gesture with the left foot and execute the displacement with the right.

पुष्पाञ्जल्यपवर्गश्च कार्यो ब्राह्मेऽथ मण्डले । रङ्गपीठस्य मध्ये तु स्वयं ब्रह्मा प्रतिष्ठितः ॥ ७२॥

The offering of flowers should be performed within the Brahmic circle, where Brahma himself is established at the center of the stage.

ततः सललितैर्हस्तैरभिवन्द्य पितामहम् । अभिवादानि कार्याणि त्रीणि हस्तेन भूतले ॥ ७३॥

Then, saluting the Grandfather (Brahma) with graceful hand gestures, three obeisances should be made by touching the ground with the hand.

Due to the progression of time and the division of the acts, the first act, which concludes with the gesture of salutation, begins with the entrance of the stage-manager.
