The Piṇḍī of Bala is Hala (plough), the Piṇḍī of the Bhogins (serpents) is Sarpa, and the Piṇḍī of Ganeśvarī (the goddess of Gaṇas) is the great Piṇḍī, Dakṣayajñavimardinī.
त्रिशूलाकृतिसंस्थाना रौद्री स्यादन्धकद्विषः । एवमन्यास्वपि तथा देवतासु यथाक्रमम् ॥ २५८॥
The Raudrī form, resembling the trident, is the Piṇḍī of the slayer of Andhaka. Similarly, in other deities, the Piṇḍīs are named in order according to their respective forms.
The Piṇḍībandhas, marked with auspicious signs, should be employed in the form of flags. Recakas, Aṅgahāras, and Piṇḍībandhas should be performed as prescribed.
