स्तम्भस्योत्थापने सम्यग्दोषा ह्येते प्रकीर्तिताः । अवृष्टिरुक्ता चलने वलने मृत्युतो भयम् ॥ ५६॥
The faults associated with the proper erection of the pillar are as follows: drought, excessive rain, movement, shaking, and fear of death.
english translation
stambhasyotthApane samyagdoSA hyete prakIrtitAH । avRSTiruktA calane valane mRtyuto bhayam ॥ 56॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकम्पने परचक्रात्तु भयं भवति दारुणम् । दोषैरेतैर्विहीनं तु स्तम्भमुत्थापयेच्छिवम् ॥ ५७॥
When the pillar is raised without the faults of shaking, it should be considered auspicious. If it is free from these defects, it will not bring about disastrous effects, such as from the movement of the great wheel.
english translation
kampane paracakrAttu bhayaM bhavati dAruNam । doSairetairvihInaM tu stambhamutthApayecchivam ॥ 57॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपवित्रे ब्राह्मणस्तम्भे दातव्या दक्षिणा च गौः । शेषाणां भोजनं कार्यं स्थापने कर्तृसंश्रयम् ॥ ५८॥
In the sacred Brahmin pillar, a donation of a cow should be given, along with offerings. For the others, food should be prepared, depending on the association with the one performing the establishment.

pavitre brAhmaNastambhe dAtavyA dakSiNA ca gauH । zeSANAM bhojanaM kAryaM sthApane kartRsaMzrayam ॥ 58॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमन्त्रपूतं च तद्देयं नाट्याचार्येण धीमता । पुरोहितं नृपं चैव भोजयेन्मधुपायसैः ॥ ५९॥
The offering, sanctified by mantras, should be given by the wise Natyacharya to the priest and the king, who should be fed with honey and sweetened rice pudding.
english translation
mantrapUtaM ca taddeyaM nATyAcAryeNa dhImatA । purohitaM nRpaM caiva bhojayenmadhupAyasaiH ॥ 59॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकर्तॄनापि तथा सर्वान्कृसरां लवणोत्तराम् । सर्वमेवं विधिं कृत्वा सर्वातोद्यैः प्रवादितैः ॥ ६०॥
Similarly, all the performers should be served with food that is mildly salted and prepared according to the proper method, and all the activities should be performed with auspicious chants and sounds from all directions.

kartRRnApi tathA sarvAnkRsarAM lavaNottarAm । sarvamevaM vidhiM kRtvA sarvAtodyaiH pravAditaiH ॥ 60॥
